Enzyme booster vs Washing soda, vs Borax
THE BIG THREE LAUNDRY BOOSTERS โ QUICK, CLEAR COMPARISON Enzyme Laundry Booster Breaks down organic stains and odors like sweat, body oils, blood, food, grass, and armpit funk. The enzymes literally digest the stain molecules. Best for: gym clothes, towels, sheets, anything that smells โhuman.โ Bottom line: If it came from a living thing, enzymes take it out. Washing Soda A strong alkaline booster that softens water and breaks down grease. Best for: grease, grime, dingy whites, hard water. Bottom line: Great muscle, but it doesnโt touch organic odors the way enzymes do. Borax A mild deodorizer, water softener, and light disinfectant. Best for: musty smells, mildewโish laundry, general boosting. Bottom line: A helpful sidekick, but not a heavy hitter for sweat or protein stains. Summary Enzymes are the assassins for sweat, funk, oils, blood, and food. Washing soda is the muscle for grease and hard water. Borax is the helper for mild deodorizing and softening. If your laundry smells like gym class, summer, stress, or โwhy does this towel smell like that,โ enzymes win. This enzyme booster is basically a rave for stains. I toss a scoop in and the enzymes show up like tiny bioโninjas ready to take out sweat, oil, blood, and whatever questionable life choices landed on my clothes. Washing soda and Borax could never โ they try, bless them, but enzymes walk in like the main character and start dissolving the evidence. Itโs unscented too, which I love โ no fake โmountain breezeโ trying to fight with my detergent. Just clean clothes that donโt smell like gym funk, mystery odors, or a long day of being a human. Sweat? Gone. Oil? Handled. Blood? Iโm not asking questions, but it vanished like it entered witness protection. My laundry comes out fresh, soft, and unbothered โ like it just finished therapy. I love it. Itโs the stainโfighting, odorโerasing, bioโactive party powder my washing machine didnโt know it needed.

Startlingly great laundry product
I have tried all kinds of laundry booster products over the decades and not been very impressed with the results... until this product. 100/10 I am surprised at how well it works. I gave it a real run for the money by gathering all of the things that are stained, never feel fully clean after washing and have resisted everything including laundry-stripping. The package size is great and very economical. It comes with a premeasure scoop and is so easy to put into the washer when the water if filling before adding the clothes. It is fragrance-free and makes what used to be crusty laundry soft again. I'll be putting this on Subscribe and Save because I do not ever want to be without this. For really clean laundry like you expect... buy this enzyme laundry booster to add to each load. It is a game changer.

Really works to remove stubborn odors.
This stuff has really worked for me. Real person here, sweaty, atheltic male. I would wash and dry my clothes adequately (clean washer etc) and they would stink again after being cleaned the moment i put them on. Wifes clothes would wash and be clean just fine.Mine would not. Used this as a nice long soak, and my clothes smell good again. Especially helpful for synthetics. This is a must now for every load i do. Seems to remove deodorant and pit stains/ collar stains pretty good too.

Enzyme laundry booster
Works fine, does take the musty odor smell out of towels. Other clothes look brighter and clean. The only disappointment was I have several white hand towels that look yellow in areas, ( no idea from what) and these stains were not removed even after washing several times with the booster . Had to soak them in Clorox for several hours which did remove the stains but hate the lingering smell.

Helps with restaurant, BO, & towel funk!
Active has slowly been stealing it's way into my home one product at a time but darnit, they keep making good stuff! This was my latest find and is getting used the most. I'm a solo parent working in special education and a restaurant. At 60+ hours a week I am exhausted all the time. My one day off is a with day in and of itself since I then clean house, do laundry, grocery shop, and tackle everything else. I sweat profusely. My clothes usually smell like BO, stale pizza, and whatever I'm trying to hide the stink with... sometimes regular detergent just doesn't get it all out either. Then this for recommended because I use their dishwasher cleaner and washing machine cleaner so I figured I'd give it one bag to see if it helped. Holy cow it not only helped with the smells it helped with some laundry stains too. Already gone into my subscribe and save. Love it!!!

Removes blood and cat urine!
Excellent stuff! I am happy again - this product replaces the Nathan's Sportwash, in the orange bottle, that used to be so great at removing blood stains - before they reformulated it several years ago, that is. I used this powder to totally remove blood stains and also to remove the smell from a pad soaked in cat urine. The trick with enzymes is to keep the water warm so as to speed the chemical reactions, but not to let it get too hot, which would denature the enzyme protein and render it useless. So I put the powder, water, and the dirty cloth into a bucket, then I place that bucket in a larger container of clean water, and I use a sous vide device to keep the outer water at 100ยฐF and let it soak overnight. Works for me. I have heard that enzymes should not be used on protein-based fibers such as silk or wool because it could degrade the fabric. This is great for cotton and linen, though.

Game
Better than oxiclean. This stuff works great. I use it in practically every load of laundry i wash. My colored items look brighter and my white, gray, beige items look very clean. It has no strong odor and is simple to measure with the included blue scoop. Two scoops are pretty standard. I use 3 scoops if the load is heavily soiled. I soaked my pets collars overnight in water and this product. They look brand new. My clothes and bedding feel softer to the touch. One bag lasts me about a month. The size of the bag is manageable and a good value for the miney.

Fantastic
This is an amazing product. This REMOVES the soils, not just whitening the dirt like bleach. One cap full ( about a teaspoon) in a warm water with a little detergent removes ground in dirt. Great for active wear, sports, clothing, well worn items like t-shirts. Whites become whiter because the staining soils are REMOVED , not just bleached. Safe and functional for all colours. After testing, I rewashed ALL my clothes using this as a presoak. Be advised, when soaking your clothes in this for the first time, the soaking water solution ( one small scoop in a several gallons of water) will result in water that is so dirty from residual soiling (left in even afere previous washing) as to shock you. Fantastic stain removal, armpit staining, racing stripes, ground in dirt from contact sports and the like. Completly removes odors, even from well used football and hockey equipment. Fantastic stuff. This and a little good laundry detergent will remove dirt and smells like none other. No more need to cover up your smelly laundry with perfumed detergent or additives. Clean is better than fe, breeze or other bothersome scented stuff that is used to hide smells left behind . I highly recommend.

GRASS STAINS GONE!!!
Worked great! Grass stains on pants disappeared! Mud on jeans- easily cleaned and even hockey gear was cleaned and funky smell disappeared. Fantastic booster using just one scoop. I was surprised that the scoop was not that big. LOVE โค๏ธ

Good product but not a magic potion
Bought my first bag a few weeks ago and have used about 6-8 times, primarily as a soak before washing. Suggested practicalities: don't do what I did and put 2 scoops in the bath tub with bedroom linens and expect miracles. I quickly realized I needed to put more powder in or switch to small tubs and so I picked small tubs and kept the concentration at 2 scoops. Also, expect the solution to become tinted the color of the fabric being soaked. It's not likely your orange towel will create grey water in the tub. The person that posted a pic (in the reviews) of very dark water after soaking probably soaked a black item. It does seem to work quite well on odors, such as sweat on garments. On my last experiment, I put in a t-shirt with 2-day old red salsa stains into the hot water soak as recommended, and they didn't come all the way out. Now I'm wondering if regular stain remover will work after it's been soaked in hot water... I haven't been able to determine if using as a laundry booster has any benefit. My machine is HE and I wonder if maybe I should dissolve the powder in a jug and then add to the bottom of the machine before putting in my laundry items. Yup, guess I still need to continue experimenting, and can see myself ordering another bag after this one. Just don't expect miracles. One more tip after another experiment: *DO NOT* soak your items in a stainless steel sink basin - it will leave a ring on the finish that I have yet to remove despite a few attempts.

This stuff works!!
Excellent product. Forgot my laundry in the washer for a couple of days and there was absolutely no smell! Also, my husband works in construction and his clothes can get pretty smelly. This stuff really gets rid of the odor. This will continue to be a part of my laundry routine.
