These days everyone is fan of lego building blocks and everyone loves to have one. Sometimes, those are not very cost effective. This mini building block is not lego however similar to lego and at very reasonable cost. Perfect for gifting person of any age who loves to building using lego.

This building block set is absolutely adorable, but when they say mini building bricks, they mean it. The size of the bricks may make it a bit challenging for some (especially kids), therefore I would recommend this for teens and adults. Unless you want some fine motor skill practice 🙂 Although they provide a step by step manual, the directions are a little bit confusing. However, once you get the hang of putting the pieces together, even though it's not a lego experience, it is still fun!

The pieces aren't very high quality. Some had burrs, one had extra plastic on the inside that made it unusable, and the "larger" baseplates have a curl to them. The curl does not make the baseplates unusable, but it does make it so the building does not sit flush to the surface it is on.The bottom of the bricks is open, so if you put a two peg and four peg piece together you are able to slide the smaller piece around while connected to the larger piece. This isn't an issue with most parts, but makes it very sloppy in parts, and they fall apart easier than other bricks.All that said, all pieces are present and the directions are adequate.

So, I knew this was not big brand compatible size because the description says mini build. See picture for brick sizing but it is probably half the size of the traditional brand size bricks. I am not taking stars off for this though because it is clearly stated it is mini. I still wanted it because of the game store theme. The bricks go together well but take a bit of pushing at times. The bricks are in several bags but the bags are not marked in any logical way I could figure out and in fact the number stamps on them are long numbers and some more faint than others and even cut off on one. So, I suggest sorting the bricks by color in some containers as they are small and tiny pieces can get lost easy as you build. The instruction booklet is fairly good quality though and the end product is cute and detailed, stickers are thin but usable. This is not for younger kids clearly, you need teens with patience who enjoy the builds or adults for sure who don’t have close up eyesight issues. A neat display for a gaming room when all done though so I feel it gives what it advertises and am pleased with the product.

This set looks neat in the picture. When I started to put it together I noticed I was missing a piece, after going through all the bags multiple times, I decided to sort them like the front page of the book shows the count number for each piece. I did find what looks like possible bag numbers. I am missing 1 whole bag and have a double of another. This set can't be built missing a bag. There were also 2 bags that had a piece heat sealed into them, so those pieces are no good.

This is a very good micro block set for kids over 10 years. Just read the ad more careful , and the set is only 3” height so you can imagine the set this very small, but a very detailed and cute one. I like there are two parts and there is a hinge so that you can open and close between them .Beside the animated store front, the back is good too, there is a read coffee shop set up at the back and you can put a tiny people in there. Overall, this is a good toy.
