I buy a fair number of various rare-earth magnets and design / (3D) print stuff for those magnets to fit into. I have some good steel dial calipers, but I don't like the drudgery of periodically demagnetizing them (a constant problem with any use of magnets near any steel measuring tools). These calipers do a really decent job of remaining perfectly magneto-agnostic and measuring my magnets to the tolerances I need for 3D printing. They don't measure to the thou, but they do fine for the price. They're also handy for woodworking, since they measure to the hundredth of an inch. They're very lightweight, so be a little careful with them. Oh, yes... also never measure a spindle with plastic calipers while it's spinning. A buddy of mine learned that lesson with a very expensive pair.

These won't be suitable for any highly specific scientific/industrial work, but for simple hobbyist/household measuring tasks they're perfect for the price!I've only used them for a few things so far but the only inaccuracies I've noticed have been about 0.5mm off so I don't find that to be a huge issue given the price.They're gonna be great for things like measuring things for simple CAD designing/3D printing projects, determining obscure or unlabeled camera lens filter sizes, small household measurements, arts and crafts, etc.I was hesitant because of the lack of reviews and the price, but in this case I'm glad I went for it because this two pack on Amazon actually came out to be less than buying two on AliExpress PLUS these came with two batteries each which the Ali ones mostly don't.Definitely recommend for anything not super critical!
