I opened the package containing these at a family dinner with my elderly parents, myself and my brother and sister-in-law in our 30s/40s, and my brother's kids, ages 2 and 5. Over the next hour or so, we all mercilessly launched these at each other, with an abundance of giggles. The 2-year-old never figured out how to launch them, but she still loved holding them and playing with them and throwing them, and watching the rest of us launch them across the room. The 5-year-old didn't launch them off his finger, but he was still able to figure out a method that worked for him with honestly more success than some of us adults had.We all agreed that something about the pterodactyls made them awfully difficult to aim properly, but the others were all pretty easy to get an accurate shot on within about 10 feet. Every now and then, one of the dinosaurs would splat against a wall in just the right way to make it stick, which invariably led to howls of laughter.While I think "don't aim at the face" is generally always a good rule when using projectiles, we ignored that rule and gleefully aimed at each other's faces as much as possible. While they did hit hard enough to sting a bit sometimes, it never really hurt - even the 5-year-old took a pretty solid hit to the face and just laughed about it.I fully expected several of these to break or be malformed, but every single one came out of the package in good shape, and none of them broke throughout the evening of launching them.If I have one complaint, it would be the amount of packaging. Each dinosaur is individually wrapped in plastic, which feels a bit excessive.
