Extreme Gear’s quarter height athletic socks were designed, tested, and manufactured by an actual competitive trail runner who understands the importance of a good sock. These socks have a number of features that make them perfect for running, cycling, and other sports like basketball. Even if you just need a pair of socks for casual use, you’ll love the comfort provided by Extreme Gear’s socks. These quarter height socks are a bit higher than no show and low cut socks. They were designed to cover your ankle, but they won’t rise too high on your calf. This is ideal for running, as the socks will protect your feet from rubbing against the top of your shoes. The socks feature strategically placed ventilation to help your feet stay at the perfect temperature. The top of the socks is thinner for increased breathability, but the bottom of the socks is cushioned for added support and comfort. This extra cushioning around the sole will protect your feet from abrasion, bruising, and blisters. These socks were also designed with a seam-free toe. While some socks have an uncomfortable seam that rubs against your toes, you won’t be able to feel a seam against your toes with these socks. This allows you to run and bike longer distances without discomfort. These athletic socks have a simple design featuring a blue logo and blue accents on top of the sock, and a dark grey sole. The unisex design is stylish for both boys and girls. The socks are available in three color options in four different sizes, so men and women will be able to find the perfect fit. Our small size corresponds with women’s sizes 5–7 and men’s sizes 4–6. Our medium size corresponds with women’s sizes 8–10 and men’s sizes 6–8. Our large size corresponds with women’s sizes 11–13 and men’s sizes 9–11. Our extra large size corresponds with women’s sizes 14–16 and men’s sizes 12–14. These socks are available in packs of two pairs, three pairs, or five pairs and have a 90-day satisfaction guarantee.

Did Not Control Blisthers for Me
I purchased these Extreme Gear High Performance Athletic Quarter Running Cycling Socks. I believe several of the reviewers said they didn't blister with these, however, that wasn't my experience with them. First time I used them them I already had blisters and these didn't make the blisters worse. Successive times I was blister free when I used them, I developed blisters. I have no scientific explanations for this, it is only my personal experience. They weren't extreme blisters but they were blisters. Also, these socks get hot with prolonged use even in AC controlled malls, etc. I found that Wright Socks do a much much better job of blister control and keeping cool, but these Extreme Gear Socks are much much better looking, which is why they're receiving 3-stars. Otherwise, they feel like any other socks but at a much higher price they should really be 2 stars.Update:Last review I gave this 3-stars because I liked how these socks look, but it's been over a month and I've worn these several times (2 pairs). I have to say they are pretty bad with regards to blisters. Several casual Fridays, I've worn these to work in my Adidas Kayanos 25, which are very comfy high quality shoes, but blisters still happened. Previously, I had worn some mid level Nike shoes. However, the issue I have is that not only did they not "control blisters", they seem to cause them. For some perspective, I sit behind a computer in a cubicle pretty much all day. I rarely walk much other than to get water, lunch or RR breaks, so with walk from parking lot, it's about <1,500 steps in a work day. That makes these socks pretty crappy to the extreme. The several times I've worn these socks, towards the middle of the day a bit after lunch, I started feeling blisters - while sitting behind the desk! I couldn't believe it.It's like these socks are causing blisters from just wearing them. Out of disbelief I tried them again a few more times and same thing happened! For my earlier review I had on mid level Nike shoes and I walked with them throughout the day on weekends. These last few times I wore really nice shoes and didn't walk much at all, which is why I'm lowering my review by 2-stars. Also, feet felt really hot throughout the day just from sitting.Wish I could love them but they're dreadfully awful, especially for the price. Still looks nice though.

Love these socks for high miles!
I love these socks. I use them for running and daily walking. I run 30 miles a week and between work and my own dogs I walk 10-15 miles daily. My feet have gotten some horrible blisters due to all the miles. I saw these were supposed to help with blisters so I thought I would give them a go since the price is really good. I was skeptical at first because most socks labeled as cycling socks never worked well at all for my purposes. However I'm glad I gave them a shot because I love them. They are really comfortable and they look awesome. I am going to order the blue color scheme as well and I hope they make more colors because I'd buy those too. I am a women's size 9 shoe and I bought the medium and they fit perfect.

Soft and dry
These are a quite tight fit, but that is to be expected for their purpose. Quite soft and cushioning while doing an excellent job of wicking away moisture. I have a problem with my left foot being just enough smaller than my right to make it so that it's hard to get a good heel lock on the left side without squeezing my right foot (or buying 2 different pair of shoes to get a smaller left) and sometimes get blisters on the back of the heel as a result of friction. These socks seem to move the friction from heel-sock to sock-shoe thus reducing the risk of blisters. While this is especially helpful for my specific issue, it's bound to be helpful in general for any runner or long distance walker.

attractive and made with care
These socks are well padded, very colorful with the contrasting red trim and size is welcomed as so many makers I think inflate the stated size. Seller communicates well and is on top of tracking, letting buyer know exactly when the delivery will be realized and then is prompt advising the up to date tracking. It's rare to have an audience lurking around gawking at a pair of socks in the sandals that let them peek through the various straps. Most common remark: "where did you get those socks?"

Large Seams
The padding on the bottom is decent. The seams around the toes is very thick, and becomes uncomfortable when you really start moving around. They do a good job at wicking. I washed them before I wore them, but my feet were black when I took them off the first time I wore them. I don't know if it's the material, or just the black dye, but they make my feet look bruised, and it takes a little effort to get it cleaned off. Even after 3 or 4 washes, my feet are still getting color soaked in. I would rate these as "decent", but many better options out there.

I wear a 9. 5-10 depending on the shoe ...
I wear a 9.5-10 depending on the shoe company and function. These socks are a bit larger than I anticipated. They sag a bit in my shoe. I'm hoping they won't cause issues, but I do not think I will be using them on long runs. Comfy fit and ok on long runs, just unfortunately larger than the size scale would indicate. Should have bought a medium.

Needed for cycling, bought more for daily wear
I wear a size 12 B shoe and many socks are are too small. I've used these for a year averaging 100 mi/week on my bike. They have held up well and I just ordered another set of the same size and color to wear for daily walking around street use with running/athletic shoes.

Is it me, or is it them?
fNice design and good material but I question the company's knowledge of human anatomy to call these "quarter" crew socks. I wear size 13 D in regular shoes and so wear 14 normal width for running shoes, so I bought the size XL. These socks just barely clear the shoe. So, if you want "footies," as we derisively called them when I was a kid, these are fine, but if you want a sock that covers the ankle bone, look elsewhere. So a 5-star footy + a 1-star quarter crew gives us a somewhat misleading 3-star rating. Mathmagical.
