I was very tempted by the $300 Nienhuis set with glass beads but couldn’t justify the price. After opening this, I’m so glad I chose it instead. The quality is good for home use and it doesn’t feel so “cheap” as to take away from learning. What impressed me the most is that it’s not just a few random beads, but a full set that will serve all kinds of lessons, with enough of each bead type, sets of number cards, and some well-chosen wooden trays too. This set plus a set of the colored beads should take you through preschool math, making it a worthwhile investment at a great value.

Pretty happy with this. Use it in my Montessori homeschool. My kid loves using it in math. Amazing quality.

This really helped my son with his math. I used with my students as well. The price is worth it for the quality and the educational value.

This set is a good set of beads. They are fused, but very good quality. They give you a lot of stuff for your money. You get trays and storage boxes. It also comes with two sets of small numbers and one set of large numbers. It’s absolutely worth it! I was pleasantly surprised and really love it!

Perfect addition to our homeschooling math class. This are well made, right size and have all you need to teach units and decimals.

I’m new to these golden beads, but first impression is the quality is pretty nice. I’m not sure how well the 100 square will fair over time. That is, not sure how fragile they are. The trays are sturdy. The cards are like playing cards, so, those could get bent over time. I wish the dividers in the trays were a tad shorter, so that the cards were more visible when displayed. Or a different design could improve that function, otherwise, what you see is what you get. It’s a solid set and the price appears to be in the middle. (I’ve seen sets significantly more and less. It’s $85 at time of review.)

Students love this material! They are always trying out new math concepts and exploring it. Worth the money, though I wish Montessori materials weren’t so expensive!
