I’ve tried a lot of matcha brands, and MatchaBar Ceremonial Grade Matcha is the one I keep repurchasing. The vibrant green color and fresh, earthy aroma hit you as soon as you open the tin, and you can just tell it’s high quality. The flavor is smooth and not bitter at all, which makes it perfect for both traditional matcha and lattes. I like to mix it with milk and add vanilla syrup. It gives me a clean, steady energy boost and feels like a little wellness ritual every time I make it. But be careful—don’t drink too much or too strong a concentration in the afternoon. I’ve learned the hard way that it can keep you up at night if you overdo it! I also love that it’s sourced from family farms in Japan and crafted with such care. You can taste the difference in every sip. If you’re looking for authentic, ceremonial-grade matcha, this is the real deal. Highly recommend!

Overall great quality! I do like my matchas with a kick and stronger flavor which I think this one was slightly on the weaker side, still smooth and great though!

I first tried matcha in latte form a few years ago. I realized that I got an alert feeling from it without the jittery feeling that I tend to get from my beloved coffee. I purchased some culinary grade matcha so that I could enjoy my lattes at home. After learning more about matcha, I realized that I was missing out on some of the health benefits that come with drinking matcha in only water. (Milk binds to the polyphenols which causes them to flush through your body with absorbing.) I tried preparing my culinary grade in just water. It worked, but it was bitter and left kind of a weird mouth feel. I wouldn’t consider it a pleasant experience. More like taking a medicine that you are forced to talk vector will make you better. I decided to try a ceremonial grade matcha which is intended to be prepared and consumed in just water. The difference in huge! The ceremonial grade is smooth, very little bitterness, and pleasurable to drink. It seems expensive, but when you read about all the work that goes into harvesting matcha of this grade, you can understand why the price is high. If you compare it to what many people spend on coffee out on a weekly basis, it still would cost less, and you get amazing health benefits. Many, myself included, don’t love the taste of matcha on first try. I would suggest giving it a week with a ceremonial grade matcha. I found that now I look forward to drinking my matcha as I did my morning coffee. I’m sure that their are even higher quality ceremonial matchas out there, but this one works perfectly for my everyday use. I will definitely continue to purchase.

This is my favorite matcha powder, but I just got my first defective package. The tear tab didn’t work (the scoring was missing). I had to cut open the package and the seal strip was also missing on one side. The matcha was fine, but will probably not stay as fresh since I can’t tightly seal the package. I’m still giving 4 stars since the product is great; just not the packaging. I have a standing order, so hopefully this is an isolated event.

Smooth and fast delivery, arrived well, taste is delicious, I deducted a star due to poor, cheap quality of packet. It has a little pull tab to open but when you pull it cuts the zip lock part, and made a mess. Now I have to store elsewhere. I recommend to cut at the top with scissors to avoid making a mess and in order to salvage the zip lock. For the price I think they can do better on packaging.
