had a genetic mutation to this and it resulted In treatment resistant depression and after 14 medications and tms, I take this daily and now have starting new with a antidepressant and it has saved my life. idk what is it this little sucker but it has changed my depression symptoms significantly. I had no idea this is what regular people real like day to day. it’s been surreal. I found out through getting a gensight test at my psychs office. it gave such closure.

Got my folate levels up to normal. Works great. I feel better. Recommend.

I felt more energized and just better overall within a week or so of taking these daily. They are easy to take, dont make you feel icky and do not have a weird taste or after taste.

I regularly take methylfolate but this is my first Carlyle supplement and also my first capsule (as opposed to pill). It ticks almost all the boxes - the bottle was double sealed and arrived with almost 2 yrs of expiration; it's GMP certified, free of gluten and other major allergens, vegetarian and non GMO; the capsule is small with no taste/smell; and, best of all, it's reasonably priced for a 4 month supply. My persnickety comments are that it's "packaged" in the US but you're not told where it's made, and it says "laboratory tested" but not third party tested (which are different). In my opinion, it's super important for supplements to be third party tested these days, even more so when you don't know where they're made. If we had just a little bit more transparency on source and purity these would absolutely be 5 stars.

Opti-Folate (brand name) L-Methylfolate (a form of folate) is packaged nice and securely and it appears distributed by Carlyle Nutritionals (per the Supplement Facts Label see photos) which makes a host of various vitamins and nutritional supplement products - to include a line of L-Methylfolate. Folate (Vitamin B-9), without getting into a discussion about its merits, in the form of L-Methylfolate is considered bioavailable and easier for the body to absorb. They capsules are easy to swallow and don't break apart in so doing. They're not too large (see photos) and the pop-top lid is convenient. As always consult with your doctor and/or educate yourself regarding the pros/cons of taking anything. For myself, I take it because of some of the research regarding potential benefits for mood.
