Helps me to attach a trailer to rear axle.
I bought these because I needed an extra-wide axle. Why? Because I had bought a cycle trailer from IKEA and it is joined to the bike by a thick chunky piece of metal on the rear axle. When I put this extra bit of metal on, there wasn't enough thread protruding for the nut to grip on the other side. I wanted an axle about 5mm longer to ensure grip.I had to buy this product only for the longer rear axle. I don't need the shorter front axle, but I had to buy it anyway.
