sturdy and well designed
I haven't found anything to dislike. I have never owned an expensive EDC knife so I might not be a good judge of knife quality. But I am very impressed with this little knife. It didn't arrive razor sharp so I did do a little touch up and it is fine. The locking mechanism surprised me with its' clever design. When it is closed, the blade is held shut with enough force to keep it shut but not so much to impede opening it easily with the "flipper." Also when closed the blade shoulder rests upon the front frame bar and not the blade edge. Clever. When open the blade is trapped snugly between the lever lock and the front frame bar. BTW, it also has a lanyard hole(which may interest some users). At first, the pocket clip was too tight and I had to bend it some, but that is the only negative that I have found so far. Initially I thought that the wooden scales might be a problem, but being unable to gouge or dent with my thumbnail I guess it will hold up. Overall I feel that this is a very good EDC knife - it seems sufficiently tough, designed very well for easy use and cheap enough that if broken or lost, cheap to replace. Any advertizer will hype their products by making unreasonable or outright false claims - like D2 steel blade. I really think that this $12 knife is actually D2 because it took a good bit of time to sharpen - it is very hard steel and it did take a "paper slicing" edge. I like it and would buy another. ** Update - Quality control has been an issue with products from Asia, so I thought that maybe I got a fluke. I do like the first one so I ordered another and it was just as good as the first. Now I have two EDC knives that I really like for a total of $26. Definitely an inflation fighter! P.S. Neither were as sharp as they can be, but I'm sure the second one will also sharpen up and prove to be genuine D2 steel.

Somethings missing
This is the second time I purchased this knife, as I like the first one so much I gave it away to a friend. Unfortunately, when I received this knife, it was missing a screw on the side. Since there are only three screws per side it is a weakness. It does open easy and is a quality knife. I would not consider this a heavy duty every day carry, but it is a usable serviceable easy to keep sharp knife. I just wish it came complete.

Good quality and sturdy for the price
Good little pocket knife. I bought a bunch, unscrewed them and engraved the blade and handle for wedding gifts to the groomsmen and fathers. They loved it. Knives seem to be good quality, are sharp, open and close with ease. Very good quality for the price.

Not a bad daily carry knife
I was looking for a simple replacement for my daily use pocket knife. Overall this is a fairly light weight knife that was not too bulky or heavy to have in your pocket every day. The blade is sharp enough, but in no way razor sharp. The open assist is smooth and it locks open very consistently. The release to close the blade is textured and operates fairly easily with a simple thumb push. Basically it is designed well for single hand operation as long as it is your right hand. The clip is firm, I would call it a bit too big for a knife of this size. It also cannot be switched to the other side of the knife if you want to have a easy left handed operation. Overall it is pretty good deal for a $16 knife. I am sure it will not last forever. Time will tell how long the blade will hold and edge before it needs to be resharpened. That being said I am happy with the quality of the knife that I can carry around day to day. It is not something that could be used to field dress a deer, even if it's a small one.

Low quality D2 folder but pattern welded vg-10 folder is very nice. Updated Dec 1st
2 stars for D2 folder Hardness tested (2 readings) at 55.5 and 55.0 hrc. Blade play badly and off-center. It sharpened close to 60 degrees (inclusive, i.e. 30+ dps) angle. I will re-harden this blade to(if indeed D2 steel) target 64+rc then FFG + sharpen at 12dps edge... Amzn won't let me post another review for the pattern welded VG10 with abalone resin handle: 4 stars instead of 5 because of high std Great f&f - smooth ball bearing flipper, tight & center blade, nice scales ** after re-hardened and ffg this blade ** 62hrc, 13dps edge. It is my current EDC Updated 20241201: Tried to reharden this Benkey D2 blade. Austenite 1850F, 45 minutes soak, Cryo. Its at quenched hardness is 58 hrc. This blade clearly is not D2 steel because there were 3 actual D2 and a K110 steel blades are done altogether in this reharden process. Actual D2 and K110 are hardened to above 65 hrc. Just to confirm this Benkey D2 58rc, a 60rc file sure cut/shape/sharpen this blade edge. Not worth my time to polish this metal and look under a metallurgical microscope to visually ID whether normal D2 large carbides are present. Trash it goes... Reduced overall rating to 2 stars.

can't beat bang for the buck
sleek and simple design, blade grind is actually pretty even for a cheap knife, wood needs to be oiled a bit so it doesnt dry out. blade comes out smooth and is paper/shaving sharp out of the box. the few minor flaws are tiny bit of bladeplay VERY LITTLE and the star screws cannot be tightened from 1 side so you need 1 screw driver on each side which is a bummer.... fix those 2 flaws and this becomes the best knife ever for its price.

Disappointed
Very disappointed this knife has alotvof rough edges on the handle. They failed to fit the handle to the metal frame of the knife. When opening the knife it will not open all the way with out assistance. For $13 after coupons I would not waste 13 dollars.

Incredible bang for the buck
I love the hardwood scales, the D2 steel, the light weight and drop point blade. It is receipt paper sharp out of the box and easy to get hair popping sharp with the right tools and patience. And of course the price is amazing. I tend to carry less expensive EDC knives when I travel. The frequently go from an EDC to a TSA gift, especially when there's a 4am wake up call. I am surprised TSA doesn't have a special bin with my name on it. When I get some time I am going to customize the scales with my laser engraver. I recommend this knife without reservation!
