A sweet and salty delight
While I've never had barberries before, the description of a sour and salty fruit leather was most intriguing to me, so I had to give this a try. I would describe the flavor as mouth puckeringly tart. Imagine a fruit leather with a strawberry lemon flavor and plenty of salinity. A little piece was enough to satisfy my sweet tooth, making this an excellent option for those who are trying to cut back on their sugar intake but still want a small sweet treat. The pack comes with two large 3-ounce sheets. You can trim these into smaller pieces or rip off of the sheet to get your desired portion. The bag reseals so you don't have to feel any pressure to eat them all in one sitting.

Barberry Fruit Leather - too salty for me
I never tried Barberry and don't know what it's supposed to taste like, but I'm a fan of most fruits so I thought I'd like it. My first bite I got a taste of the fruit right away and liked it, but then the salt kicked in. I found it very salty for my taste, and not in a good way. I tried a couple more bites to see if I'd get used to it but the more I ate the more I just tasted salt. I didn't really get much sour from it since the salt was overpowering for me. It had a good consistency, but came with most of it in a large, folded over sheet so I'd suggest cutting it into pieces/strips for easier snacking. If a salty sweet is your thing, then this may be a good option for you.

Yummy, sour sweet fruit flavor!
Reminds me of the rolls of fruit I had in my lunches as a kid but much better. I say better because this tastes more natural and like real fruit with a sour but sweet flavor. The plastic covering was easy to pry and peal off, once I realized it was there of course. I think it makes a great snack for my camping and backpacking trips, since it's lightweight, it doesn't take up a lot of space, and will fit perfectly in my bag's map sleeve. I recommend trying it, thanks very much.

Exotic Snacking Experience
Takam Lavashak Barberry Fruit Leather is a delightful snack that offers a unique blend of sweet, sour, and salty flavors. I was pleasantly surprised by the distinct taste, which transported me to the exotic flavors of the East. The balance between the tartness of the barberry and the subtle saltiness creates a one-of-a-kind snacking experience that is both refreshing and satisfying. I found the price of $14.98 to be a bit high for a snack. However, considering the quality of the ingredients and the unique flavor profile, I believe it offers good value for money. The natural, handcrafted quality of the fruit leather makes it worth the price for those looking to indulge in a special treat. One thing to note is that the fruit leather is quite sticky. This makes it a bit challenging to eat straight from the package without getting your fingers messy. To overcome this, I recommend cutting it into smaller pieces or using it as an ingredient in recipes. For example, incorporating it into Middle Eastern dessert recipes can add an interesting twist and elevate the dish's flavor. On the downside, the stickiness can be inconvenient, and the price might be a deterrent for some. Additionally, while the flavor is unique, it might not be appealing to everyone, especially if you prefer more conventional sweet snacks. These minor drawbacks aside, the overall quality and taste make it a worthwhile purchase for those seeking a new snacking adventure. Overall, Takam Lavashak Barberry Fruit Leather is a high-quality, natural snack that offers an exciting flavor journey. Its unique taste and high-quality ingredients make it a great choice for sharing with friends and family. Despite a few minor drawbacks, I thoroughly enjoyed this snack and would recommend it to anyone looking to try something different.

Great taste
Takam Lavashak Barberry Fruit Leather Authentic Persian Style Sour and Salty Fruit Layer 6 OZ - 168g لواشک زرشک This is just like a Fruit Rollup but perhaps a bit thicker. The taste is very good. I had never heard of Barberry so I looked it up and found that it tastes like unsweetened cranberries. You can definitely taste that in this product. This also has apple puree in it which off sets the bitterness of the Barberry. Fun snack, only wish it came in smaller individually-wrapped packages.

I was expecting something Sweeter
I didn’t know what a barberry was when ordering. It isn't a sweet fruit leather like I was expecting. It was much more tart. The amount in the package was good, but it was in giant sheets. I wish it was pre-cut for better portions. If you like tart this might be great for you, but the lack of good portioning is annoying because you get all sticky trying to make it managable.

Tangy, Sour and Sweet with a hint of salt aftertaste.
Interesting! After reading through some of the reviews, I was skeptical about trying this fruit leather. First, I had no idea what Barberry tasted like and secondly, it was described as salty. I've never been a huge fan of salt on my fruit even though my sister-in-law believes it brings out the fruits flavor. I disagree but to each their own. I opened it, figuring I would just give it to my SIL if it were salty. I was actually really surprised by this unique to me flavor. Luckily there was a thin strip already cut showing that there was a thin plastic stuck to the fruit leather. It was definitely stuck on there! I took the smallest first bite and then another and was pleasantly surprised that it had a very nice tangy and sour, yet sweet taste to it. To me, it actually tasted like a dried cherry fruit leather. The salt flavor did creep up as an aftertaste and was lasting but not enough to not enjoy this fruit leather. My son and my SIL loved it and did not mind the salty aftertaste. They rather enjoyed the sourness of this fruit leather.
