Even though their connection is strong, something happens, and she feels betrayed by him. And that's not all... But then her personal life changed, and she disappeared from the company and from his life.Months later, he still can't accept that she is gone, and I can totally feel his obsession towards her. But then one day, he sees her again...and I can definitely say that from then on, their romance finally started to bloom.When we got to the part of them finally admitting their love, I was really swooned. I was the one in love with them as a couple. There was quite a bit of drama, but this was even better, because it fit right with the story.The love scenes...OMG...the love scenes. They were just brilliant. Their love was so passionate and full of steam. Them being together was so smuty and kinky...and let's not forget the dirty talk 🥵🥵🥵. I really loved those scenes.Even though their love was forbidden at first, I am really happy that both characters had the chance to become friends, get to know each other and fall in love.P. Oh, the emotional journey this book took me on!!! My first read from Victoria Lum but definitely not my last.It’s Wall Street set with a Billionaire MMC and the fiery and determined FMC, friendships, finances, distress, slow burn , angst, discovered, vulnerability, passion (the passion!!!!), best friends and ice cream, secrets and forbidden love.Steven and Grace. Two very different people, from very different upbringings, both with emotional issues but fate it seems has a hold on them. This book!!! The build up, the trials they go through, the seriously intense s€x! Had me sleep deprived and in a chokehold!!I love Victoria’s writing style, so very descriptive pulling you into the story completely. Plus the combination of deeply passionate declarations and dirty bedroom talk was on point! Definitely recommend this read and the hints throughout have me curious about her previous books and also potentially of what’s to come.

⭐️ 4/5🌶️ 3/5I really enjoyed this story about Grace and Steven. It was good to see 2 strong and independent people navigate love and life. There is an undercurrent of mystery throughout the book which had me guessing throughout, I kept guessing but got it all wrong.The character of Grace was really well written and I feel like you go on a complete journey with her through all her ups and downs. I was great to see how everything worked out for her.This book was a really interesting read and I look forward to the next story in the series!

This is perfect if you’re in the mood for angsty, slow burn with a good plot and character development.I was hooked from the first few pages! Steven and Grace are total opposites who have excellent chemistry, their banter was witty and fun. I loved watching their relationship develop and Steven’s character growth was fab! I love the found family and easy camaraderie in their friendship groups too. Can’t wait to read more in this series.

This is the first in a new series, and this is Steven and Grace’s story.Steven is a cold hearted billionaire, while Grace is his feisty intern, who is struggling to keep her head above water.This is a well written story which is an opposites attract romance, with emotions, angst, secrets, witty banter, humor, unexpected twists, palpable chemistry, curveballs, forbidden workplace love, and is an entertaining, unpredictable, haunting, and steamy addictive page tuner.I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

This was a fantastic read!! I immediately connected with fmc Grace & loved to see her growth throughout the book! I seriously even cried at one point in the book. I have not been. This emotionally invested in characters in a long time. Overall a great book!

This is my first Victoria Lum book and it will not be my last. This is the beginning of a new series and I am hooked. Steven is the ultimate broody billionaire MMC. He is understandably standoffish when it comes to romance but this is put to the test when he is blown away by a new intern at his company. Grace is an amazing character and is full of the right kind of motivation when it comes to her family and is willing to work hard to help with her single mother and younger sister. This brings her to Steven's company with the hope of securing a full time position to bring her family out of their tumultuous living situation.The set up is perfect for a billionaire romance but this is not your typical Cinderella story. This one is full of angst and is highly emotional. There is so much backstory with the families of each of our main characters and this lends to some MAJOR drama throughout this story. I am a strictly spoiler free reviewer so I refuse to say to much about the plot, but I have never read a story that had my jaw dropping at a third act breakup more than this one.I 100% recommend this to anyone who loves a billionaire romance or likes their stories full of emotion and with high angst.

I was excited about this one because who doesn't love a good office romance. I figured out the twist pretty early on, and honestly, it ended up being a major negative for me. I understood the reason for it, tying into her other series. However, it seemed forced and drawn out. I think perhaps this author is just not for me.

Had me hooked from the beginning. I read each word! Didn’t skim anything. Suck great writing. The author didn’t fool me though😊 she wouldn’t be that cruel. The only disappointment was the reason for her parents not being together. I thought it was a cop out, although her life experiences made her the person that she is. Ok. I’m off to the next book. Happy reading😁
