It's got some darn good bones.
(***This review is for the BLUE SWITCH version***) SHORT TAKE: For a budget board, you could do so much worse at this price point (and by that I mean to say do NOT buy a Mag**e keyboard under any circumstances). This board has good bones and if you are new to this as a hobby, this really is a good starting point. Recommendations at the bottom if you are a TLDR review browser. CONS: The board is hollow and noticeably plastic insofar as a lot of other budget boards will have features or design cues that at least draw your attention away from the housing material. There are also smaller boards (60%) that are heavier because this thing has no sort of weight in or to it whatsoever. The sound signature of the stock keycaps really isn't that pleasant, and is noticeably worse for the spacebar - which produces the most hollow sound on the board - closely followed by the backspace key. PROS: The backlighting is a soothing hue of blue, which I prefer over RGB (again...preference). The knob does what a knob is supposed to do (volume), and though the tactile feedback is light, it is noticeable. Pressing the knob also enables a command (mute, obviously). The multiple feet to angle the board is a nice feature. The layout is excellent. What does that mean? Well because there is an F row, the delete key is placed there where the space is available. That means the the keys to the right can have a home, page up, page down, and and END KEY!!! Yes, the 'end' key is often sacrificed when space is at a premium and it is simply annoying to live without (was that...preference?). This board is advertised as hot swappable, and, yes...it is!!! I know that sounds weird, but the number of boards with hot-swap snuck in the product description when they aren't at all is borderline criminal. But not only is it hot swappable, it is 5-pin compatible and the LEDs are north-facing!!! (IYKYK) === === === === === === === === === === === So do I recommend this product? Well...if you are a: SERIOUS GAMER: You should be looking elsewhere. This is a basic board and it isn't going to get you the performance edge that another board will. Also...don't game with blue switches. Like, ever. But especially with the sound note of the stock keycaps this board makes. ๐ซฃ CASUAL GAMER: This board will do the job. Its a keyboard, and assuming gaming is not the principal thing you are using this board for, its good at the other stuff. Blue switch rule still applies here. ๐ค OFFICE PROFESSIONAL: This is a good board for you. It doesn't break the bank and it will be a substantive upgrade over the usual office keyboards. All of the keys you need are there unless you do a lot of numerical computations (no numpad). And the volume knob means you can quickly adjust the volume on videos or conference calls without having to hunt for the volume slider with he mouse. The backlighting can also help if you need to see the keys, assuming you keep the stock keycaps, or stick with a shine-through set. Additionally, by swapping keycaps, you can use it as an opportunity to showcase your style and personality. And that's always fun, right? Please make sure you choose your switch accordingly, based on the environment in which you work. ๐ค SERIOUS KEEB HOBBYIST: If you've been in the game for a bit and have tinkered with a few keebs over that time, it really doesn't matter to you much what board you are starting with. You can already make magic out of nothing. So, I guess it's up to you, man. You don't need me to tell you what to do...๐ซก BEGINNING HOBBYIST: Good for you, and welcome to the club. Yes. Buy this board! Like the description says, this board has good bones. What that means for you is that you can begin to tinker and figure out what your preferences are. Want to try different keycap profiles? You can do that. What to try out different switches? You can do that too. Do you know the difference between "thock," "thump," "creamy," or "clacky?" You can eff around and find out - then decide which signature suits your fancy. And if anything goes wrong, you won't be out $100 bucks. Its a good deal. Take it. Right now! Do it!!! ๐ BUDGET SHOPPER: If price is your principal concern, and you aren't about to get into modding, I have several other boards around this price that I think will suit you better. This board is all about potential. There are others that are more complete packages though at the expense of customization option. If you are interested, you can click on my name (I think) and look at my other keeb reviews. ๐ค๐ง === === === === === === === === FINAL WORD: I really wanted to hate this board, and I did in stock form. All I did was swap the keycaps and later the switches, and I went from ready to give this away for free to ready to see how much I can do with it. I've taken this to the office, and it did well, but not well enough to unseat another mechanical board. But it did do well enough that it was my home office board for a good while. I like the feel enough and prefer the layout to a 60% or a TKL. So I will be keeping it. If you give it a chance, you might feel the same way too. If this review was helpful, please let me know below. Happy typing!

I'll keep the review updated for anything, but the keyboard -- its LOUD alright, I'm lucky to have no issues with that, but easily this could annoy folks, roommates, etc. I knew what I was getting this for, the space savings, no more numpads I don't touch, and white colour to add some colour to my dark life (lol). A volume knob then, a killer feature hardly exclusive to this board, I can't do without them now though. 10/10, away with the weird shortcuts or buttons on edges. Good stuff, lighting is only blue, no bluetooth. I didn't search too hard for a keyboard, so I wouldn't doubt there's better out there but this hasn't done me wrong. It's a well balanced keyboard but you must, must be okay with clearly audible typing noise around you.
