Although I don’t frequently drive near large bodies of water, I thought it wouldn’t be a bad idea to have one in my car. Don’t know how well it works at the moment, but will test it at a scrapyard when the weather warms up. In the meantime, at least I have means cutting through seatbelts if I’m ever trapped

This is one of those tools that is better to have and not need, than to need and not have.This diminutive little tool is well constructed with a smoothly threaded cap for the belt cutter and a nice pull off cap for the window breaker. I haven't had to use it on a window yet but I did test it on a sturdy box. When putting pressure down on the surface, the needle violently springs out and pierces a tiny hole. The needle does pack a real punch, so I am relatively confident this will do the job when needed. The seatbelt cutting blade is sharp and will go through belts with ease too. I like the form factor as it is very small and will keep this in the bottom of my door pocket in case I ever need it.

This small under 90mm long tool comes with a sticky back fixing mount for the dash, one end has a safe cut blade for cutting seat belts while the other end has a special pin punch that if used on glass should smash it enabling escape.Its £7.59 using a 5% voucher at time of review which isnt too expensive though I did notice buying 2 brings them down to under £6 each. I'm happy to have mine in the car just in case!

There is only 1 thing that stopped me giving this 4 stars, and I can’t decide if it’s right to loose a star for it, so I’m pointing it out first.The thing is that whenever I pull one of the ends out, the rubber washers around them come off, they pull down the town with the top, and whilst if this was needed, that happening wouldn’t be any issue, it just bothers me slightly that they do that.Now when it comes to the actual item itself, it feels well machined, the casing seems to be high quality, and the “Hashing” at one end, and the “Pull Cord” at the other, work very well to give grip for opening and utilising this.Now I did test the “Press Hammer” on a bottle in the back garden, and it did do exactly what it should, the “Tip” hit with a very decent amount of force, and easily broke the glass, whilst not a window, it was still an impressive break in my opinion.The “Bladed” end, has a nicely protected blade, and I like the fact it is so well “tucked in”, because it makes it safer in my opinion, and then when it’s time to use it(tried it on an old rucksac strap), the width and depth of the “Guiding parts that hold the blade, make it pretty easy to fit the strap into the gap where the blade is, and the blade is very sharp and cuts very cleanly, and easily in my opinion, I honestly think even my 9 year old son could use it successfully.I think it works well, and whilst it doesn't effect its utility, I also think it looks very cool, I love the colour, it’s a “Bold Red” which I think stands out well, in the situation of the car.With the plastic “Clip” that it slots into, and it having 3M sticky tape on the back, I found it super easy to put into the car, in a place where it can be got too if needed.Useful item to have.

Really for the cost of these its a no brainer in getting one for the car - just in case.Item is as described and will do the job, I took the caps off because its an emergency I don't want to be faffing with a screw lid though glass breaker, but you have the option if you'd rather keep them on.Nice and compact unit and has a holder if you don't have somewhere to put it in the car.

Das Werkzeug ist schön klein, hat ein Messer um den Gurt zu zerschneiden, auf der anderen Seite eine Federgestützte Möglichkeit eine Scheibe zu zertrümmern. Der Kraftaufwand ist aber für kraflosere Menschen sehr schwer zu bedienen!Da wäre ein Hammer besser!
