First off, I love building kids toys and this set has a very nice set of shapes. It has enough squares, windows and rectangles to make some cute little houses and 3 different types of triangle that can be a tower or roof. They seem very sturdy and like they will hold up for a long time. It is a set of 120, so enough to build a house or a castle. My kids have also made some creative shapes with them because of all the triangles. My middle schooler, still had fun playing with these even though she is not in the normal age range for this toy. We use it as a fidget toy during homeschool lessons and I plan to use them to demonstrate some physics activities this year. I think they will be great for that. The magnetic tiles collapsed several times while my older child was playing with them. They were able to assemble them, but they had to plan carefully and sometimes the walls of a 4 sided box would just fold. I think they are a little more likely to fold over in some instances because they are heavier due to being solid. It makes them more durable and creates different play opportunities, but the heavier walls can be harder to stand up. If your child has a low frustration tolerance, this set might not be a good fit for them. On the other hand, they do encourage 3-D thinking, and planning, which are good things to teach. In general, I would rate these for ages 5 and up, because they are as easy to build with as they look, but are a really good toy.

These Xekel magnetic tiles allow the imagination to just explode! My ony pleasure with them is that they seem to be bigger sets then my childrens imagination! I got these to stay at grandma's house and another set that look a bit more like mine craft - traditional. Then, when I saw a set come across that looked like these were a little bigger for smaller hands I picked those up as well. All of these blocks have been a HUGE success! Everyone love to play with them. I leave them out on my coffee table in nice little open containers and it is just too much for most people to resist. They just reach in and grab a few and before you know it there is a building of some sort - and usually a child or two, at the table helping with the creation. I think they are wonderful! I am going to set a few more sets because they are wonderful manipulatives for when you are talking to the children or one of them really needs advice from grandma. As a therapist., these kinds of manipulatives are perfect for people with ADHD and other sensory processing difficulties.
