★★★★★ Great wireless CarPlay screen — easy to install and use
I've been using this Madoec 9" screen for a while now and it's been a great addition to my car. Wireless CarPlay connects easily and the screen quality is sharp and responsive — no lag when switching between apps, maps, and music. The backup camera integration is a nice bonus, and setup was straightforward right out of the box. What really stood out was the support team. I ran into a connectivity issue after some time and reached out — they responded quickly, walked me through troubleshooting, and when that didn't fully resolve it, they shipped me a replacement unit without any hassle. That kind of customer service is hard to find these days and it really shows they stand behind their product. Overall, a solid wireless CarPlay solution with a team that actually backs it up. Highly recommend.

This product really works!
First and foremost - it works. Before tearing my dashboard and center console apart or cutting any wiring, I set it up on the passenger seat, plugged it in, and tried it out. If it sounded crappy or was difficult to use, I had nothing to lose except the time it would take to pack it back up and return it, but it worked flawlessly and sounds great. There is a short period of trying this and that, but it set up easily and it sounds excellent. Bluetooth to my iPhone was easy and stable. I own an older BMW…too early for backup cameras and high tech app usage. It’s sort of a unique vehicle so I will be keeping it for the foreseeable future. However, I wanted some better level of infotainment system. My car came with a Harman Kardon sound system and I connected this player via the AUX port so the sound transfer was perfect (better than using a random FM channel or Bluetooth). The sound is excellent and it is easy to use. So once I knew it worked, I started planning how to mount it. The suction cup/arm combination is sturdy and will stick to almost anything, but each vehicle is different and you’ll really need to play with it to decide where it fits best in your car. In my car, dashboard mounting wasn’t practical. I sit low, so if I mounted it on my dashboard, it would block my view somewhat. After trying a lot of dry-fit locations, I found a spot at the very front of my center console, forward of the shift lever that worked very well for me. While parked, I can’t easily access the touch screen, but once you put the car in D, the screen access is perfectly fine. If you have a standard shift, this might not work. For me…it was perfect. With this mount, I admittedly can’t use the embedded front facing camera, but I’ll accept that sacrifice. I found a flat panel space on the bottom section of the dash where it meets the center console, and the sticky pads that come with this unit worked perfectly. To stop the bottom from sliding around or wobbling, I used a short strip of 3M VHB double sided tape on the bottom of the unit and it’s as solid as a rock. The rear view camera was also a challenge. Again….all cars are different, but it took me 3 hours to properly fish the wire through the trunk floor, into the back seat, under the rear center console, under the front console, and to the place where the unit sits. I also had to do some finagling to get access to the backup light wiring so I could tap into it for power to the camera. If you’re not comfortable doing this type of work, try to hire someone who is experienced with car stereos and go that route. On that note…I did not use the provided rear view camera. I bought one that was specific to my model car, which is integrated into the trunk handle. It looks factory and works perfectly (found it here on Amazon). This installation of a nice CarPlay unit was a purchase that totaled about $160 all in ($119 for this unit, $35 for the backup camera). A shop in my area wanted nearly $1000 to install a similar product. I’m about $840 on the up side, so it was a win. It required about 6 hours all in to install, but I saved myself some money and have an infotainment system that brings my car into the present.

Bad scores all across the board. Sound, connection, car mount all horrendous!
Im unsure if everyone in the reviews is either deaf or obtuse because this is by far the worst item of its kind ive tried. Everyone states the sound quality is good yet its horrendous. Sound comes out muffled, with static absolutely ruining the quality of the music and one of the biggest points of buying this item. It disconnects at the most random moments while driving causing you to lose the display completely until it reconnects. The dash cam doesnt work at all it just seems to be there for show. No instructions on how or if it needs to be activated somehow but I looked everywhere and no dice on how to get it to turn on and record. The provided mount loosens up on its own while driving with just the normal vibrations of the car, causing the tablet to move and almost fall off completely. Rear camera quality was ok but tbh never even got that far in the install since the main tablet carries so many flaws. The tablet battery shows it'll be fully charged, half charged etc (every time you plug it in its different) yet the tablet doesn't turn on at all unless its directly plugged in so im unsure of what the point of the battery symbol já since clearly this thing does not hold a rechargeable battery inside. Overall a huge disappointment on one of the only products on here that had decent reviews. Setup and install was pretty straightforward but the quality of sound and poor mount quality completely ruin the point of this item. If the only reason you need this is to see your maps on a screen in front of you id suggest a $10 phone mount and not this overpriced hollow tablet. If the reason you want this is for the bluetooth music connection then stay far away. This item is not even remotely worth the trouble and much less the price point.

Excellent customer service
We have purchased two of these screens for my kids older cars, one of them we've had for two years now. Both units work as advertised. The screen display is good and sun glare is minimal. Android Auto works very well and the backup camera is pretty clear. The backup lines are a bit tricky to align but overall works well. The customer service has been excellent and very responsive. I had an issue with the first device I purchased not showing live traffic even though it was enabled on the phone. They sent me a firmware update but the device would not update for some reason. An email later, they have a replacemt device on the way to me. I would recommend this device to anyone looking to add Android Auto to an older car.

Well it was good :(
I purchased the Madoec 9" Wireless Apple Carplay in November 2025. It work well, setup pretty easy with Iphone, interfaced with 2014 CRV Honda through auxiliary plug for steering wheel controls. Display was bright. So sad news is now it only displays the car screen saver and occasionally screen goes black for a few seconds and then back to screen saver. Cable are working. There is a reset, hole, on the back of the unit but it appears to not do anything. Pretty frustrating now. I tried reaching out through the Amazon Madoec link but that takes me nowhere. I've emailed madeocservices2outlook.com. Let see if the actually support. I'll keep this updated if anything changes.

Dont recommend
I bought it about a week ago. Definitely worth the money. Its extremely easy to set up. I have a 2009 scion tc and it Definitely feels nice and adds life to an old car. The adhesive is strong and hold the device firm. The only issue i would say it has is one of the claps on the side to adjust the hight of the device slowly loosens over time even if you tighten it all the way down. (Not really an issue for me) lowers down every week or so im assuming due to the vibrations on the road. I also installed the rear camera and it is clear and good quality. I still yet have to connect it to a tail light due to the red cable being too short.i also recommendbuying the rear camera bracket holder that attaches ro the license plate its extremely helpfulin mounting the camera. I just need to get an extension to the red cable to crimp it. This issue is probably just related to my car because its a hatchback so I had to drill a small hole in my trunk and run the cable all the way up the hatchback. Back down to the tail light. I feel another car the length should be fine. I would honestly rate this product 4.0-4.5 stars if I could due to those small issues. Also another confusing setting is the screen time out. Initially I thought it had to have a time out which the max is 3 mins and the screen turns off. (Just tap screen anywhere and wakes up). On the display setting you have to click "close" so the screen does not time out while your driving. Options are "close", one, two and tree minutes. You have to click "close" option so it stays awake while your driving. Update the handle has lost all strength and it can not hold up the screen. Update 11 month review it gave up it just shows the car then turns off and the. The car again doesnt start up anymore :(

Not a bad product for the price
The setup and mounting process was pretty simple and easy, I had to use the stick on mount instead of the suction because my dash doesn’t pair well with suction cups. For the startup, it takes around 5-10 seconds to startup and about 10-15 seconds to connect to CarPlay if it was previously paired already. I don’t really mind how long it takes to startup and connect because I tend to warm up my car for that time anyways. The cameras are pretty good for the price. I feel like the front camera could be a little better video quality, but the backup camera is definitely better for sure. Although, the night vision on both cameras is not bad at all. I love how it starts recording both cameras everytime I turn the screen on, it’s nice to know it’s always recording if an accident happens. I use CarPlay wirelessly to the screen with the AUX cable plugged into the car with the screen. The audio quality is fine, I don’t really have any problems with it when it’s wired AUX. Moving between menus on the screen’s software is alright, it’s definitely not the fastest but it gets the job done. Screen is also very bright when you want it to be and have had no trouble squinting my eyes at it during the day. I would recommend buying this for older cars as it makes driving a lot more fun and the big screen is super useful for any map app. I’m enjoying it so far and so will you.

THE BEST THING TO GET IF YOU HAVE AN OLDER CAR!
A fantastic product: I have a 2003 Toyota Highlander, which has an outdated touch screen that is small and only works intermittently, including my Bluetooth speaker connections. I LOVE this device; it was super easy to install. I haven't set up the rear camera yet, as I don't know how to connect the red wire to my backup light (I will get this done at the shop). The backup camera is just one of the reasons I bought this item. The screen is large, excellent resolution, it quickly connected to my iPhone; a LOT of the apps from my phone are on the screen, and it even has voice command for hands-free texting, I can answer my phone on the touch screen in a nano-second. I had been using the little screen on my phone to use WAZE. NOW I use this device, and I can SEE the map easily without having to squint at the small screen of my phone. It AUTO connects for me, so when I get into the car, it starts my Pandora station AND my WAZE is on display as well, it's very satisfying not to have to position my phone, start my Pandora, and turn on my portable Bluetooth speaker. The arm/holder is adjustable, so I dropped it down to below the dashboard level (I already have a Dash CAM, so I don't need to use that function). It's low enough that it doesn't block my view, and I even angled it to face the driver. It has an internal speaker, which is a big plus, but it's not great. I will get my radio working to listen to the high-end speakers already in my car; until then, I will be happy to have an automatic "on" function (one of the days my radio decided to work, it automatically connected to this CarPlay Screen and I could jam out to my music through the car speakers). If ONLY there was a way to read the screen without taking my sunglasses off. In that case, I guess that is just the nature of the beast (if you angle your head just right, it can be read with the sunglasses on, but it feels awkward). I am getting the screen protector as the greasy fingerprints were really distracting. Overall, I am VERY pleased with this product.

The best portable apple carplay
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Portable CarPlay Screen I’m very happy with this portable Apple CarPlay screen. It’s easy to install and gives my car a modern upgrade without needing to replace the original stereo. The screen is bright and clear, and Apple CarPlay connects quickly and works smoothly with my phone. I really like being able to use navigation, music, calls, and messages directly from the screen while keeping my phone safely out of the way. The portable design is also convenient because it can be moved between vehicles. Installation was simple, and I didn’t need any complicated modifications to my car. Overall, this is a great option for anyone who wants Apple CarPlay in an older vehicle without spending a lot of money on a new stereo. Easy to use, good screen quality, and a great value for the price. Highly recommended!

Great upgrade for the price!
Really happy with this purchase. The screen is a great size, the display is clear, and everything feels pretty easy to use. Apple CarPlay connects quickly and works smoothly. I also really like that it includes both a dash cam and a backup camera, which is a great bonus for the price. Installation was fairly simple, and it’s a nice way to add some modern features to an older car without replacing the original stereo. Overall, you get a lot for the price and I’d definitely recommend it.

Geat deal!
Really happy with this CarPlay screen so far! The screen is nice and big, and the touch response is quick and smooth. I was actually a little worried at first because the unit is a little bit heavy, and I didn’t think the mount would hold it securely. But I was pleasantly surprised. The combination of the adhesive and suction cup works really well, and it feels very solid after installation. I’ve been using it for a while now and everything has been working great. It also comes with a backup camera, the connection cables, and an audio cable, which was a nice bonus. For the price, you get quite a lot. Overall, I’m very happy with the purchase!
