The opener did not work straight out of the box. The idea is that the tooth will be stopped by the serrated inner surface of the handle and fixated in place by the hand lever. The tooth cannot be fixated because it slips. Everything is made from a sort of cheap pot metal (in china, needless to say). The hand lever will not close, so you have to press on it, which makes the whole operation difficult and awkward. Not all all what promotional movie shows. If you want the lever to close and press on it (that is if the strength of you hands allow), it lowers to the handle, but squeezes a jar cap so much that it become really difficult to open. That is out of the box, brand new. Save your money, do not buy this cheap junk!
