Simple, inexpensive, and it works!
I got this "for a song" on an Amazon sale (<$15!). It's a great little device, simple to set up, and easy to use. I LIKE that it has few bells & whistles (e.g., no free recording, no ability to remotely re-orient it), but you can remotely turn on/off a light, it has sound, and good clarity. Other features (e.g., motion activation) I haven't looked at. A very nice, simple device!

Excellent Performance for an Inexpensive Security Camera
The Blink Mini 2 seems to be a very sturdy, well put together unit. I have it mounted inside on a window ledge. The picture is clear and the numerous options for how long to record each motion alert, the ability to filter people only as a motion alert and not vehicles (we live on a very active road), and the ability to set the number of days to keep a recorded clip are all pluses. I have only had it installed for three days so not sure about durability/function in the long run but am impressed with it so far. I gave it 4 stars because I had some issues with it not recording when I set it up. A reset seemed to clear up that problem. I am using the 30 day free trial right now but plan to put it on subscription. (To have the ability to store my clips). Overall, I would definitely purchase the Blink Mini 2 again.

Great quality camera!!
This camera is really great! I mainly got it so I can see my 11 year old dog who’s going blind so I’m not worrying so much and it’s brought me much peace being able to see her when I’m not home. The quality is really good and the movement as well is update. I love that there’s an option you can talk though on the app and when I tried it my dog was able to hear me she was going crazy thought I was home. I’ll also add it works really well in the dark there’s an option to turn the flash on and it’ll show color as if the lights on but in the dark you can still see very good! I’m going to be buying another one for my brother in law next

Small but takes good pictures in b/w good range and distance too
Works well even in b/w for just security needs Takes about a minute to bring up each picture after recording is set from the cloud storage.Sometimes I get 1 picture that is frozen in dark but majority come out as good clips.Camera actually reaches at least 30 feet away and mountains in background from window.Good to keep.watch of doorway or car or inside too. Very pleased for price paid

Great Budget Units But Fatal Flaw
I currently work in public safety, and have for 20 years now and I would like to point out my one major concern with this product. I have been using Blink cameras since the first generation, and they are wonderul for the price. I do want to preface by saying that I am fully aware these are not intended to be used for critical operations. I want to point out something to all other customers or potential future customers as I am not sure this is something that Amazon could fix with a software, or firmware update or if it is just the nature of the system in general. First of all the picture and range of these cameras is more than sufficient for keeping an eye on your home or monitoring your property both on-site or away. I use the sync-module for local storage backup. For the most part the image is crisp and clear especially at night and the audio is almost perfect for trying to listen remotely. Only very rarely does the picture pixelate or briefly stall when viewing, even for longer view times. Sometimes as others have stated the motion sensing and the selected zones can really be hit or miss. Sometimes it will detect the smallest thing in the yard such as a leaf blowing or a bee buzzing by, but it will not pick up a person or a large pickup truck. I have found it just varies from time to time and there is no true consistency but overall that doesn't totally deter me from owning the system. Overall these are some of the best budget cameras I have seen, but now I would like to get to the one serious issue that no one seems to mentioning or be addressing. And that centers around current live notifications as it pertains to trying to view while the system is notifying you, or recording an event. We live in a very nice newer development that to date has had no criminal activity and no issues of any kind. However recently we have had an influx of younger people walking around people's yards at night, some of which I have witnessed myself trying to check door knobs in the middle of the night and looking in car windows. We have also had an instance of pets being shot and killed at night. I've been trying to keep a close eye on things when home and one night while in bed I could hear several loud knocks that sounded like someone was banging the side of our home. Our bedroom wall faces One of the outside walls of our home. I could also hear footsteps and voices that were getting louder and louder. At this same time the camera was doing its job and was setting off multiple notifications for myself and my wife. Now I wasn't sure what exactly was going on or who all was outside so I wanted to be super cautious before going outside. I was trying to determine if I needed to go outside of my home with my gun drawn. However while the blink system was recording the clips and notifying us I was unable to view the current live picture from any of our cameras. Even up to three and as much as fuve minutes after the alerts and recordings had stopped, I still received messages that the system is busy. The bad part of that is that only one camera had been motion activated for notification but that rendered every single one of the other cameras as unavailable. The entire system becomes unusable if any motion or alerts are sent out or if recording has started, even after it ends. It takes some time for the system to catch up and you to be able to actually look at the cameras again. I also feel it is important to note that while you're not able to view the live footage, you also are not able to view the recordings that it has just taken.l, or any prior for that matter. Those also do not appear until several minutes later. So keep that in mind when purchasing, as I said these are great cameras for what they are but this one mistake I feel is a very fatal crucial flaw that should be addressed.
