Very comfy, heat does not last for a long time but when hot is brilliant

I am male and size 10 1/2 shoe and I found it very difficult to get on my foot the first time - It did not want to go over my heel. Once on was very comfortable and did the job.The second time of using was a disaster! I tugged it at the wrong angle and split the seam about 2 inches.Realising that it was my fault and that I could not return damaged goods, I decided to go the whole hog and deliberately split the seam a further 3 inches, thus bypassing my heel.Brilliant! Dead easy to get on and off so will get a lot of use.I am not suggesting that anyone should deliberately damage these, but it worked for me!

I was a courier on the road doing multi drop for over 20 years. In those years 2 injuries that recurred really debilitated me more than any others. Back pain either sciatic, pulling a muscle or full seized back and the other injury was sprained or twisted ankle - which is one of the most aggravating injuries to get.Trying to sit at night with an elevated ankle and apply a cold or hot compress is extremely difficult. This 'NEWGO Ankle Ice Pack for Injuries, Flexible Foot Ice Pack Hot Cold Compression Therapy Gel' is an invention I would have bought years ago.It's comfortable in use and with the strap is easy to fix in place.I can't rate it highly enough for comfort and for practicality. At £15.99 it's aa price worth paying for the times that you would need it.

My first impression of this when unpacking it was that it looked too small, but I wear a UK size 9 shoe and it fitted me well, if not a little bit on the loose side. Therefore, to benefit from the claimed compression properties you would need to have fairly large feet! However this is not intended to be a negative comment because it works well as an ice pack.The instructions say to put the ice pack into the freezer for at least two hours. This was plenty of time to really cool it down. I wore the ice pack for twenty minutes, the first few minutes the cold was as uncomfortable as you would expect from a bag of ice cubes, again this is not a negative, but indicates that the ice pack is as effective. After the initial extreme cold wore off a little, or I had gotten used to it, the ice pack was comfortable to wear. Its cooling effect is all around your ankle and foot, so definitely gets to the area where it is needed. None of the shuffling around an uncomfortable lumpy bag of ice or the classic bag of frozen peas to try and target a particular area.It is made from a soft material which as already stated, is very comfortable to wear, there is a Velcro strap at the top to tighten which holds it in position. It is convenient to use with no melting ice cubes to soak your furniture. The outer material feels quite thin and it’s durability is unknown but it does give the impression that you need to make sure it does not come into sharp or rough surfaces which could cause it to puncture and leak out the gel filling. Time will tell on this point.The gel filling makes it feel quite heavy, but this is not noticed when worn.It can also be heated for twenty seconds in a microwave oven, if you would prefer to use it for a warming treatment of the area.Overall a very good product which is easy and convenient to use.

This seems like a good product and it is cooling now to start using. I’ve dropped it one star because on the Amazon description it says it is one size fits all and to heat it place in microwave for 30 seconds, on the back of the box it says 20 seconds in the microwave and 5 seconds to reheat - but in the instructions that came inside the box it gives differing microwave timing for heat treatment for S,M,L,XL and for 800 or 1000 watt power - but no indication on the box or the item as to this size; it states it is size 5.5”x 6” but not how that relates to S,M,L,XL. Using it as a cold pack at the moment so not a problem until I need to heat treat with it. Think I’ll use a thermometer!

My daughter is a keen rugby player and regularly comes home with a variety of injuries, sprains and aches. Her ankles seem to be a particular weakness (her Achilles heel so to speak!). So she was keen to try this foot wrap. It fitted her well - she is a size 6.5 shoe - but I don't think shoe size is particularly relevant here, I'm not really sure about the 'one-size-fits-all' claim in the listing - it surely depends on the circumference of your ankle as to whether it will fit? Rather than the length of your foot, which pokes through. But, assuming you can get it on, there is a helpful elasticated/velcro-fastening band to hold it in place.We liked the fact that it came in a ziplock bag so we could put it in the freezer in that (haven't tried heat as we don't have a microwave).She found the wrap soothing - and certainly a good deal easier to cope with than an ice pack. It did warm up fairly quickly but she did say she still felt the benefit of it.

These are made from really nice soft, stretchy, smooth material. The gel inside is solid and doesn't bunch up or anything. I'm a size 9 and these fit great but would easily work on a few sizes bigger or smaller.The gel doesn't completely freeze solid in the freezer, so it still moulds to your foot and provides really good cold compression for quite a while.It is equally good for applying heat, but the instructions are a bit confusing. It says to microwave it for certain times based on the size of the product. But I don't see a size marking anyway. I've just been doing 10 seconds one side, 10 seconds turned over and inside out, repeating until it feels hot enough.

This is absolutely ideal for swelling on my ankle as I do have an injury that flares up every so often this holds on neatly nicely. This is easy clean also, very simple to pop on and take off as well as keeping cold in the freezer I would highly recommend this product

It was tight over My ankle. But overall a good product.

The product does get really cold. Feels great on the foot. But only last 10 to 15 minutes tops.

I have several of these jell kind of ice packs for specific parts of my body, which I use increasingly as I age! This one is nice because it fastens securely to your ankle and applies cold to all the right areas. However, as other reviewers have also said, it doesn't stay cold for very long. That is also true of some of the other jell material ice packs, so I assume it's a trade-off. I have ones with the harder material inside that stay cold much longer, but are much less comfortable to wear. I also tore a couple of stitches from the seam the first time I tried to put them on, while clearly stretching it a little bit more than I should have. However, that does make me a little concerned for whether they will keep ripping.

We have a few dancers in the family, and have seen many sprained foot/ankle. This is a great alternative to an ice foot bath. No prepping and clean up. Also a great alternative to a traditional ice pack since it fully wraps around the ankle and foot, and hands free! The material has a gel inside that can be placed in the freezer and it still remains in gel flexible form. It can also be used as a heating pad (via microwave). Overall, our dancers like it and it is so easy to use. This offers a good value and i can recommend this to other dancers.

It's hard to decide on this thing. It's tube shaped like a sock without toes. So it stays on your ankle well, but if your ankle is sore enough to need ice, it might be hard to slide it into this ice pack. The filling is nice as it stays super flexible even when cold. The surface is an odd lycra kind of fabric, that doesn't seem to collect moisture as much as other ice packs. If it were more of a wrap than a tube, this would probably be 5 stars, but I'm just not sold on the form factor as it is.
