Attached perfectly to my Dyson and the light feature is amazing

Bought on a whim because my original one was toward end of its life. Wow!Size - Yes this is smaller but that is actually a PLUS, it was able to get into place was under things that the one that came with my vacuum couldn’t.Light - thought this was a gimmick until I used it and it is perfection for finding all the dog hair on the floor. Before I’d vacuum and the minute sunlight hits the floor, it looks like a didn’t vacuum at all because of all the stealth dog hair that I couldn’t see while vacuuming that escaped the brush. Well with the light, you find and get it all! Did I mention that because of the size it gets in even tighter spaces than the original one?Great for hardwood, concrete etc floors. Worked well on low pile rug too.Clicks in like the original part. Can’t speak to durability because only have had it a short while but I’ve used it multiple times and am very pleased with it.

I recently ordered a similar aftermarket motorhead from a different brand, with a foam brush instead of a bristle brush like this one, so I knew what to expect. Overall, I'm pleased with the performance.The Good- 100% compatible with V7. Unlike other third-party attachments I've tried, this motorhead works as expected on both the "normal" and "max" settings.- Maneuverability. The original Dyson motorhead pivots on a ball at the rear, while this one has two independent wheels instead. Despite that design difference, it is just as nimble (easy to turn and change directions) as the original.- Useful LEDs. The lights are so close to the ground that they illuminate the smallest specs of dirt and debris and causes them to cast prominent shadows; especially in larger spaces, this makes it easy to keep track of where you've cleaned, and where dirt is still hiding.The Bad- The LEDs also shine upward. By virtue of being mounted to a transparent shell, a significant amount of light bleeds upward toward the user's line of sight. This is a silly design flaw, but it can be easily remedied by a well-placed piece of electrical tape (or other opaque tape).So long as you don't mind providing your own piece of tape, I think you'll be happy with this motorhead's dirt-finding abilities.

If you happen to own the new GE 2-in-1 washer dryer and are thinking about using it, I would like to share our unfortunate experience with it. We used it and found out that it caused damage to our fins, which was a costly mistake. We had to replace the heater unit, which thankfully was covered under warranty. We tried to straighten out the bent fins by leaving the unit outside in the South Florida heat, but it wasn't enough and they were still slightly bent. While using it to clean the dryer vent, it turned towards the fins and bent them further. So, if you care about your unit and want to avoid any costly repairs, I strongly advise against using it in a way that could damage the fins.

Anybody who knows me could tell you that I am a vacuum cleaner freak. So, I was delighted to test this attachment for Dyson vacuum cleaners. I have a couple Dyson's and the V8 didn't have the hardwood attachment but my V11 did. So, I wanted it and you can see why.The brush that spins is a little softer than the rug motorhead. It has a pleasant whirr sound and seems to spin effortlessly. It clicked into place just like a Dyson component and performed perfectly.I vacuum many times a week because the cat hair is a constant battle. My wife has long hair too and that gets sucked up with ease. One magic feature of this attatchment is the light. See the pics that show just how well I can see every tiny speck on the floor. Then, it is so satisfying to watch it disappear. Really-without a light on the motorhead, one might do all the cleaning and not even appreciate just what a good job is being done.....or what you are missing and remains on the floor.Perfect for me.If you get one, you will never regret it and there is no turning back.

This head is amazing! (That’s what she said lol) In all seriousness as soon as it arrived we attached it with no issues and put it to work. Easy peasy as taking off the other one and snapping this one on. I love that it has a light. You can see everything you want to or are picking up. It also sits lower than the original, so it allows to get to more places than the other one. The maneuverability is also better than the original. This one works much better at getting it to go under the bed. We really really like it. We were just going to try it out at arrival but ended up just handling the whole house. Amazing!

I like this attachment on my V8. It's lower profile and the LED light is like a high beam to see the dirt and cat fur and strands of my hair that I couldn't spot before. Even with a different lit attachment, this one excels at the light placement so you really spot everything with it. It's lower profile than the original attachment and can get under edges of furniture even easier. I forgot it was specified for hardwood and already dragged it across those washable rugs that leave the bristles stuck with cat fur and rug particles. I wanna keep this one clean and functioning optimally because its brushes really grab stuff well. It's slightly less turn-on-a-dime maneuverable but I think it makes up for it in its sweeping suction and illumination.

I love that I can actually see where I'm vacuuming now, like inside a dark closet or under furniture. The flexible hose that allows articulation isn't as robust as Dyson's ball joint. My Dyson head is 2 1/2" tall and this is 1 1/2" tall. This may allow you to get under certain objects more easily. That said, the roller is not even half the side of the Dyson. I threw crumbs on a short pile rug and on the floor and it picked up the mess on both with no problem. Time will tell how durable this will be. It comes fully assembled, so you don't need directions, just swap heads. I did read the directions that came with it and found parts to be confusing (Usage environment1-4 and Diversity6). I can only guess it refers to other roller brushes available. Also, you do have to swap heads again to vacuum normal carpet. Otherwise, this would be a 5 star.
