awesome gadget to have
ok this product right here i bought cause I needed something tactical for my car and to have in emergency situations this product by far astounded me by the craftmanship.. now I know I can feel safer having this in my truck if anything were to go wrong ... I definitely love the battery charger it acts like an external battery charger for your phone etc. Works lovely it saved me a couple times when my phone was dying and I was out and about away from any power source.

Best car charger
My mom got me one of these for my birthday a couple years ago. Found out later by accident that this thing charges even after you take it out of the cigarette lighter. It’s the best. Has an emergency light too. I just bought one for a 16 year old who loved it. I will say that my first one probably lasted more than a couple years and one day the light didn’t work right then the charge didn’t work. So I bought another one. :)

Good product but does not last forever
I purchased this exact product with someone else's logoi on it in the Spring/Summer of 2019 and have kept it in the "Always Powered" outlet in my car. When I happened to look at it a few weeks ago, I saw that the battery was dead and the unit was very hot. I know I got at least 2 years out of it. I have this new unit plugged into an outlet that is only on when the ignition is on. We'll see how that works, since I am retired and am not a daily driver, so it's not getting charged daily. That being said, this item meets many needs: window breaker; seat belt slicer; always-charged flashlight. It fits perfectly in my console (where that always-on outlet is located) so it is right there should I need it. And I really like the idea of having a flashlight handy that I know will work.I'm hoping that putting it in on an outlet that is only powered when I'm driving the car will:-Not overcharge it-Have it in sight so I can see when/if it fails-Prevent a dangerous overheating situationI may move it back to my console and keep a more regular eye on it. If they only last a couple of years, to me it's still worth the cost ($7/year.) My option is to keep an emergency breaker/slicer on hand and have a standard flashlight whose batteries I have to remember to check. It sucks that the charging technology is not more sophisticated.

You never know
I love this item. I love that it has so many uses. I especially like that it has the ability to break automotive glass and I really like the seat belt cutter. You never know when you might need this.

Effective All Purpose Utility Tool
Most people expect that when they press the button on a flashlight, it lights up. This device has a 1 second delay when the button is pressed and that becomes a little disconcerting especially when you don' t expect it. Other than that, I leave mine in the power port in my car's dashboard all the time. This keeps it fully charged and well within reach in case I need it. I like it so much that I bought one for my kids cars, too.

Poor Quality control = dies after short time and drains car battery
I've bought a total of three of these.2x I bought about a year ago. Fortunately my 12v cigarette lighter only provides power when the car is in the ACC mode. One of them drained so much power it "fused" one of my one-to-three 12v adapters to constantly short circuit. I burned four 10 amp fuses until I figured out what the problem was. So it was drawing more than 12volts at 10 amps, thats over 120 watts per second... wowAnother one I just used last night at a camping trip. It charged my girlfriends phone up fine until it died. No problem. I brought out my emergency car jumping kit to charge up the phone AND this emergency charger. It dropped from 12.6 volts to 12.1 volts within a few minutes.. and then down to 11.9 volts shortly after. The unit was HOT and when you pushed the buttons no lights came on (there are four blue lights to indicate the charge). Not worth the $15, I WISH the quality control was better. I would easily pay more to have a solid product.
