Very handy device for big houses/ bnbs etc.
This is a very handy product that will upgrade your phone system within the house. Sometimes out of laziness we'd call each others mobiles rather than walking upstairs in our house but this product allows you to make calls within your home for free. You need to know where all the telephone cables come together in your house to use this product though. For us: this happened to be in the attic. (I'm in republic of Ireland and the standards were pretty lax when our house was built. All the phone cables were just spliced together in the attic. I think nowadays, there has to be a master socket etc. where all the cables must go to. It was a bit of work separating the cables at the point the came together. Then I had to crimp them all with RJ11s so that they could go into this unit. Now I can have up to 8 extensions in my house and can easily dial between them. Very handy!

It did just what I expected it to. A simple reasonably priced exchange for 2 phone lines.

The good: > The auto attendant feature (main reason I bought this device) works > The price is almost right The bad: > RJ11 Phone line sockets - i.e. Non BT phone line sockets > Missing from box: 1 x White 10cm Line adaptor Lead (RJ11 to female BT) > Echo on line when connected to BT Diverse 5450 DECT phone > Auto attendant OGM recording time more like 10 secs instead of the 12 secs stated > Flashing red on light on the device The ugly: > "ISO9001 Certificate" printed in front of device - instead of manufacturers name or logo
