🛠️ Elevate Your Filtration Game!
The Duda Energy Sheets are high-performance filter media fabric sheets made from singed polyester, designed to provide exceptional filtration at 5 microns. With a maximum working temperature of 275°F, these sheets are versatile enough for various applications, including water, oil, biodiesel, and more, ensuring safety with food-grade materials.

Pretty good in Aeropress with some caveats
This is a rather thick, polyester felt filter, and I bought 5-micron pore size. With plain tap water, the water flows through without significant slowing by gravity alone.I cut this filter in a circular shape of 64mm diameter and used with Aeropress coffee press. I used very fine ground bean thoroughly mixed with hot water for 90 seconds and poured into the Aeropress for filtration. Sure enough, the coffee ground clogs the filter just enough to minimize the "wash through" or water that flows straight down without contacting the coffee ground much, to a pace of a very slow dripping. With the pressure, the filtration becomes faster, as expected. In more normal operation, I wet the filter with hot water, place very fine gound coffee on the filter, pour just enough fresh boiling water to wet the beans and stir on the filter. The filter is robust enough to take the mechanical stirring with a spoon, unlike paper filter. Then pour more hot water to make the final desired volume (in my case 20x the bean weight), stir for 90 seconds and press the coffee out.The cup quality is closest to cotton flannel filter, commonly used during the 1930s and 1940s. This 5-micron felt filter may allow a tiny bit of fine coffee particles that cotton filter would have removed cleanly (very fine grind will prevent this, as the particles will clog the filter surface and effectively prevent any other fines from flowing through). The cup quality is comparable to what I get with a cotton flannel filter and significantly better than with a paper filter. In comparison to Disk Fine filter (very fine pore stainless steel filter) this felt filter allows much less solid coffee particles in the cup. You can drink to the last drop without unpleasantness. The filter is a bit too thick to fit in Aeropress, unmodified, but with firm pressure, you can place the filter assembly together. After use, and with a wash in plain water, the filter has residue of visible but slight coffee stain inside/within the felt. This accumulates over several uses. This seems some organic compounds that are in the coffee but adsorbed on the filter fibers and cannot be easily desorbed and washed out. I found this stain rather easily washed out by carefully boiling in a stainless steel pot, with a little bit of OxyClean (be cautious of splashes and use protection). The oxidizing bleach chemically decomposes the adsorbed compounds and get them to desorb and wash out. Even after hard boiling in the harsh OxyClean bath, the filter was dimensionally stable and didn't shrink. No smell left, either.I find it convenient to cut out several of these filter discs out of a felt and accumulate used filters after a few uses, with a good rinse in between. Then I boil them in a batch. For Aeropress use, if the filter were half the thickness, it would have been perfect. This polyester felt filter is added to my very short list of favorite coffee filter material, with the other being cotton flannel.

great for aquarium filter socks
using this material for aquarium filter socks. I have bought other thicknesses and just like Goldilocks said, this was just right. not too thick, not too thin. easy to cut, sew, and clean.

Wonderful for cold brew coffee
Works great for cold brew. Brew the coffee like you normally do cold brew and just run it though a funnel covered with the filter paper. Yes, it will fill up with sediment, just move to a "clean" piece. Doesn't slow you down like the filter bags. And it's much easier to clean; it looks like new in just soap and water (rinse it of course). If you're in a hurry, you can even toss it; the 1 yard by 72" is enough for at least 20 uses even if you only use once. We make Nitro cold brew at work and go through 5 gallons a week. All the brewers love this filter material. It clears the coffee clean enough to give a great long-lasting Nitrogenated head, yet is easy to use. I'm the boss, I love it for those reasons and because it saves time and money.

good material
This is just what i was looking for. I will be cutting 6" discs to prefilter lake water before it goes thru my Berkey filter.

I use this for my fish filters (indoor and outside pond). It's works really well and much cheaper than buying the regular fish filters.

Dust collection filter
Used this for making replacement filters for a two stage dust collector and it works superbly. Useful for a variety of other filtration purposes!
