I have many eyeliners, including several high end liners with a price tag to match. This one is my favorite. The applicator glides it on smoothly and consistently, better than any pencil or liquid liner. It doesn’t smudge and lasts all day. The only slight downside is that the product gets a little dry long before the pot is empty, but at this price I can afford to replace it as needed.

Sometime after I turned 50 I started having issues with any and all eyeliner migrating from my upper lid down to my lower lid “raccoon style.” I tried various pencil eyeliners, yet the problem persisted. I was so glad when I discovered this product because it does not migrate like the pencils did. This product comes in a small pot with an applicator brush and has a kind of waxy consistency. It is easy to apply and does not irritate my eyes. It is somewhat water resistant, though I don’t know that it’s completely waterproof. I wear it for hanging out in the pool and it holds up, but for something more active like lap, swimming, water-skiing, or surfing it might not.This eyeliner is an all-around win for me.

I'm new to makeup, so I'm not skilled at all yet, but I do really like this product! It goes in fairly easily (in my opinion), though the brush it came with is terrible and I don't currently have a replacement that does a good job.CONS- It ends up a little patchy/streaky when I apply it. It may just be the fact that I don't have a proper brush or that I'm not putting it on quite right.- It's darker than I had anticipated, a brown-black as opposed to the lighter, subtler brown I was expecting.- Hard to take off due to one of the pros listed below.PROS- Easy to apply.- Literally lasts all day, even on greasy hooded eyes like mine (I barely have any eyelid showing and sometimes this stuff does end up slightly under the fold towards the thicker end; it still doesn't transfer)- Waterproof; even my makeup remover has a hard time getting this stuff to disappear.

I generally use the darkest black eyeliner I can find but wanted to soften my look now and then so I bought this liner in charcoal. I have used gel/cream liners before and liked them. Maybelline's was inexpensive and even came with a brush so I gave it a shot not expecting it to come close to Smashbox's wonderful gel liner. But it is nearly as good! The pot is pretty large and even the included brush is good. I have my own brush but I have used the Maybelline one and both do a great job at distributing the liner. This eyeliner is thick and pigmented. It smoothes on my lids without tugging and once it dries, doesn't budge all day. The charcoal is a "light black" as opposed to a washed out gray color which I like. I find it easy to apply either in a thin of thick line and much less messy than liquid liner. It washes off with my facial cleanser or eye makeup remover and doesn't irritate my eyes at all. This one is definitely a good value and comparable to high end gel liners.

Stays on better than any eyeliner I have EVER used, and I have used MANY, including the expensive ones! I use it daily on my upper lid waterline and it lasts all day. Plus it never pools black into the inner corner of my eyes. Applicator is terrific too. Product is a great price. Wish it came in more colors. I can not say enough good things! 💞

i never write reviews but i just HAD to say that ive been struggling with eyeliner for so long but this one is absolutely perfect. glides amazingly, so easy to apply (and thats saying something, because i have a strong fear of going near my eyes in case i poke it lol) but it also lasts the entire day barely even smudging. just so so good.

After using L'Oréal Paris Lineur Intense Brush Tip Liquid Eyeliner for 10 plus years, I finally got tired of the perpetual cracking and switched over to this, after admiring my coworker's eyeliner game, day after day. Her wing always stayed flawlessly on point.This gel eyeliner is a good product, but I'm not in love. First things first, the color: Blackest Black looks too harsh on me. It makes my eyebrows look washed out. So I tried the color Charcoal, next, in hopes that would be softer. Yeah, no. Way too light. I wish they would just make a regular Black. I really don't understand how that's not an option. It's weird. My second gripe is I haven't found a brush that I'm totally into, as far as application of this gel. The brush it comes with is garbage, so I've purchased four or five different eyeliner brushes, trying to find the golden ticket. I mean, don't kid yourself, my eyeliner always looks fine, but that's it. It's just fine. I guess I'm used to the precision that came with the L'Oréal liquid liner, I've used since high school. After applying that, it was like, "Work. *three snaps*" The Maybelline is just like, "Okay, you have liner on, now." Meh. While I love the smooth consistency and the phenomenal endurance of this product....my search for the perfect liner continues.
