I cant make it turn bitter.. and thats a good thing
So, most of the time you spend time trying to find the right beans, grind, puck amount, or shot length and even different water amount for americano, you get it about right but still not sure as it's still bitter, but ok.After trying all manner of £10 a kilo beans, i settle on lavazza as it doesnt get any better or worse at that price point. However I decided to spend a little more on beans now the lad has moved out (who just made a gallon of coffee soup and didnt care what it tasted like) now our usage would decrease i could go for quality.I use a bean to cup machine for ease, and most of the time i barely notice a change in beans other than ones more bitter than the next... these however, no distinct aroma BUT im struggling to make it bitter!Quite a breakthrough, its either stronger, or weaker but never bitter. The creme is great and it all seems so fresh.Enough punch for a morning and tasty enough for milk drinks that the other half has. These are my new go-to if I want quality and value.Shame it doesnt say when they are made but then again people can focus too much on that because they are fresher than supermarkets.

Solid bean to cup beans.
Good beans for your bean to cup machine. I got these for a friend and he called me up to thank me, and told me how much he enjoyed them.

Top quality beans at an amazing price
I drink a lot of coffee and it’s so rare to find absolutely top quality beans at such a decent price. The beans are really fresh and roasted to perfection - grinding them releases some amazing aromas. I find these are great both in a mokka pot as well as a French press. Will definitely be ordering again.

Very Pleasant, Maybe A Little Weak
I've used/tasted the Signature Smooth Columbian beans and they are definitely smooth with little acidity. I usually drink quite rich dark roasts and go for the high caffeine beans but I do like the flavour to be smooth and chocolatey rather than burnt and acidic. The beans grind as expected and fill the kitchen with that lovely fresh coffee fragrance. I make my coffee in a cafetierre because I like control of strength and a couple of large mugs-full. I made it up using two heaped desertspoons of coffee but I found it too weak in flavour. The next time I used three heaped desertspoons and the flavour was richer and deeper but without bitterness.I enjoyed the coffee but as I'm using a third more than usual, this works out a third more expensive than my usual coffee beans.

Lovely taste excellent value for money not a fair deal for farmers however???
So I buy ALOT of cafetiere coffee and even in the cheaper supermarkets I pay about 4 quid for a small packet. I've photographed this next to a normal packet so you can see how much you actually get. I was blown away with the size. I love a mocha and this rich, dark coffee has hints of chocolate but not in an overpowering way more of a mellow and light hint at it and some sharper Berry flavours. Obviously the strength can be negotiated yourself with how much you use but we didn't need a lot for a strong coffee either. This is great for a present as well as just buying for home as you get a lot and it looks impressive when you recieve it. HOWEVER this product has a name suggesting "counter culture" as if its got a political conscience yet there's no mention of fair trade or the source of farmers used so I would not buy this again as flavours one thing, but sustainability and fairness in this world is something I take really seriously and there's not really an excuse for a company to not ensure the product is ethically sourced in 2024. It feels like its trying to distract with the mention of London roasting rather than those actually producing the product originally. Happy to ammend if provided with more information, but I've been to Vietnam and I've travelled a lot and see conditions people work in so without knowing, I can't drink this comfortably.
