This is the perfect size and weight to drive metal posts. I am a 68 year old female and had previously used a heavier driver that got borrowed and not returned. I wanted to replace it with something easier to handle that still did the job. This is definitely it! I drove in full size fence posts to secure a trellis to in my flower bed. This did the job with ease. Highly recommend.

8 pounds perfect weight - others in the 14 pound weight would be too heavy - and 14 pounds might have bent the bars if confronted with a rock
