The light is good and bright with several patterns to pick. Remote is handy. Light must be on to use remote.

I value well built, bright emergency lights. I have added this light to my roadside emergency kit in all of my vehicles. This light is top notch. Body is built of powder coated aluminum,,,, very sturdy and strong. Lights are super bright LED's and have a variety of strobe patterns. I bought one of these for my Jeep, got it in and recognize the build quality. Hard to see that in a picture. Once I opened up the box I knew I would have to order two more, one for my wife's car, one for my pick up truck.

Works well, nice brightness

Product arrived on time. Product packaging was good. Amazon packaged it in a much large box with no padding so the factory carton was rolling around. The light feels solid and well built. The switch and indicator lamp are simple to use and the switch has a nice feel to it. The magnet is fairly strong and the additional suction cup base will help to keep the light on the vehicle. That said....I generally do not recommend high speed driving with a magnetic light of any type unless it is of known good quality. The light itself is simple to use and the remote is already paired to the light. Brightness.....I am a volunteer responder on a number of County emergency response Teams. We are not red or blue light authorized so the less restricted colors are all we can use. I have a Class 1 Whelen 23 inch light bar along with a battery powered 24 inch directional light / traffic advisor bar from another manufacturer and some Agrieyes unidirectional battery powered warning lights, so I can make some direct comparisons. This light IS bright but....Each section of emitters is only about one square inch, so despite the brightness of the emitters the ability of the light to project in daylight is more limited than any of my other lights. I would give a single one of these lights a fair rating in daylight use. By that I mean it is visible and can be seen but I would not want to rely on this light alone in daylight conditions. That said, I like it enough to have ordered a second one and the two of them combined will be much more visible in the daylight. At night this light projects well and I would rate it as good to very good. Only a true class 1 light would be rated as excellent. At night even a single light would provide adequate warning to oncoming vehicles in MANY conditions. Here again....In heavy snow or rain or in a high traffic volume area I would recommend at least two of these lights or a true Class 1 lightbar. So why to I choose battery powered lights when I have a Class 1 Whelen light bar?....There are times when I may need to leave my vehicle for an extended period of time and having a quality battery powered light which I can leave on without fear of draining the vehicle battery. Having a variety of light styles provides the flexibility I need. So...Overall...I am very pleased with this light and as noted above....I did just order another. The rating of four stars is solely due to the small emitter and subsequent limited usage as a single light in daylight conditions. That said, the price point is good and the small size of the light makes it easy to store. One limitation is that it comes with a lighter charging ford only. No 110V charger is provided. If you have a 12 volt power source in your home you can of course use that to charge the light.

Figure out a way amount of safety lanyard

I like everything about this product, but I am an Uber driver, and I needed to turn it on from inside the car with its remote control when I’m in a crowd of people at the ball game, so they can find me I know which car is mine. The problem is that it has an automatic shut off mechanism so that the remote control will not work after 10 minutes. This forces me to get out of the car and climb up on the roof and turn it back on from that location before the remote control could control it again from inside the car. This makes it impossible for me to use for my purpose. Since it’s already turned off with the remote control inside the car, then it should not ALSO be turning itself off after 10 minutes at the base so that the remote control no longer works. For that reason, I’m going to have to return it. There’s nothing in the instructions that says that this will happen, but this is what happens. It kind of negates the reason to have a remote control in the first place

UPDATE.. THE BATTERY LASTED 6 MONTHS. Its now useless without being plugged in. This is the second attempt at a beacon light for my work truck. Warmth a breath of fresh air. This light and remote work flawlessly. They feel like quality, especially for the price. It's very bright, has plenty of settings to choose from and looks good too. Sticks well to roof of truck and is easy on the paint! Best of all (unlike the first attempt) the remote works at distance. The old one barely connected at a few feet away..this one works at least 20', probably more but thats as far as I tested it. Jury is still out on battery life but I dont need to use it often or for long so shouldn't be an issue for me. The only small gripe it the charging cord. It only comes with the full sized integrated cigarette lighter port charger. Kinda old school. Id prefer a USB end but it's not a deal breaker, just makes it impossible to charge anywhere but in a vehicle. All in all,great light.
