Works well, product photo shows incorrect display image
This has replaced a similar AccuRite weather display that finally succumbed to old age. I like that it has a barometer, dew point and moon phase. So far, has been very accurate with outdoor and indoor temps. The reliability of the predictive forecast icons are hit and miss. It's not a big deal, but the sensor signal display is not located in the upper left corner, as shown in the photo. It's actually located just above the outdoor humidity reading on the right hand side, which makes for a cramped appearance. Far from a deal breaker, but don't stare at that area waiting for the sensor signal to connect. :)

Updated review: DO NOT BUY THIS UNLESS YOU CAN AFFORD TO CHANGE BATTERIES ONCE A MONTH!
Review Update April 2020: I have given up on s thermometer. Although the indoor temperature and humidity continue to be accurate, the transmitter ALWAYS LOSES CONNECTION! It also eats batteries for lunch. Lithium batteries are expensive. I don’t know if I got a defective unit, but the transmitter went through them in one week! I have used regular batteries but they don’t stand up to Montana winters. I’ve replaced the batteries so many times in both units and I’m done!! This thermometer turned out to be NO GOOD! Plus it’s frustrating how much money I’ve spent on batteries for it. I’ll keep this thermometer for inside use only, knowing that the main display is always incorrect. Purchased September 2018. The thermometer works as described. PROS: Indoor and outdoor humidity readings. Forecasts after a “learning period” (which I’m still waiting on, we’ve only had this about a week). Easy to read in a LIT room. The wireless sensor has a hanger allowing you to hang it from something outside (tree, etc) with a piece of twine, etc. The display unit is battery operated so it’s portable. CONS: It is difficult to read in a dimly lit or dark room and there is no backlight. It requires 2 lithium batteries in the wireless sensor and 3 batteries in the display unit - NO batteries are included. The wireless sensor does not display the outside temperature.

Works great, does what it says it does.
Very happy with this little "weather station". Using it in my little teardrop camper to keep tabs on the temperature both inside and outside, as well as the humidity inside. So far it has performed very well. I like that it also reads barometric pressure and it gives you an icon with the likely weather. This is an upgrade from just a temperature gauge made by same manufacturer. My only "but" is that the screen is not really easy to read, the monochromatic screen makes it hard. The backlight makes it much better but still hard to read at an angle. The color version is likely a better choice, but for the money this is a great little piece of kit for my camping adventures. Battery life is not bad and it takes 3 AA's. As far as installation, it's your choice. It comes with a pop in base for placing it on a shelf or tabletop. You could also use the mounting holes in the back to permanently place it on a wall.

Sometimes simpler is best
Since our analog outdoor thermometer now reads 65-90 in the snow, it was time for a change. After reading lots of mediocre reviews of various color, back-lit, and wifi'd systems, I settled for one that is quite basic. Since looking out the window only gave us the temperature, that was all we really needed; this does that. Its a basic LCD display, so I expect the batteries will last a while; no color, no back light. Yes its hard to read in the dark, but mostly we want to see it first thing in the morning. So far so good. We tested it by placing the sensor, next to the base unit, in our unheated garage, and then in our outdoor mailbox. The inside and garage readings seemed reasonable but the mailbox provided a 47 reading with 14" of snow on the ground. As it turns out, the temperature was right, it was just a warm day. We don't care if the "forecasting" works, thats what the tv is for at news time. This fits the bill for a simple, easy to read and inexpensive outdoor thermometer.

durability lacking...
Got mine Feb 2020, and did great job for years - yesterday, the buttons quit working - telemetry still functions so I get outside info, and it's onboard sensors still function so I get inside info - just no high/low data, and unable to change any settings :-( For the price, it's NOT a bargain - there's cheaper units out there doing the same features and that include temp alarms (freezing, too hot, etc.) which this unit is incapable of - it displays freeze point, dew point, but no alarm feature... because of all this and its lack of durability (I have units that also do atomic clock which are over 15 years old and STILL work flawlessly), I give it only three (3) stars...

I'm pretty pleased with this thing
I spent a LOT of time looking for an. . . what to call it?. . . 'entry level weather-station-like' device. What I am saying, not a true weather station - but something fairly close to being like one. I looked at dozens of these things on Amazon, with dozens of different combinations of features, and finally settled on this low-priced Accurite. I decided that I didn't need the kind that displayed everything in color (more strain on batteries, and didn't want the plug-in-the-wall kind, or push-a-button-to-see-the-data kind), just the 'always on for viewing' monochrome kind would do just fine. Also didn't need the rain gauge thing, or the wind measurement thing - just wanted the indoor/outdoor temps, humidity indoor and out, and barometer. The barometer part is still "Learning" (it says this on the display - not sure what this means, exactly). One day the barometric pressure dropped a teensy bit, the thing said I was in for a wind, rain and lightning storm. Well. . . I'm in northern California, not gonna be any rain (or wind or lightning) in the forecast anytime soon (at 104 temps in the Sacramento area at the time of this "prediction", it ain't gonna happen). The directions said that the barometer part might be "Learning" for a couple of weeks or so, I'll wait to pass judgement on what it finally "learns". But I will say that I am completely satisfied with the device, just as it is - the indoor/outdoor temps are accurate - with is mostly what I was looking for, anyway (I checked the temps against against a thermometer I have, for accuracy verification). Anything else - indoor/outdoor humidity, outdoor dew point, barometer - for me, are just icing on the cake. The device arrived, insert batteries, easy set-up (actually minimal set up - just needed to set this thing for my time zone). What's not to like? If you are looking for a bare-bones, monochrome, battery-powered, instrument, at a VERY reasonable price (at the time I bought this it was about $29.00) this is definitely the one for you. Enjoy. :-)

Bonne station météo.
Après les 14 jours que le baromètre s'habitue à l'environnement, le système semble précis et annonce bien le temps qui s'en vient. Intéressant le fait que tout se met à l'heure et la date sans intervention.

Accurate Weather Station
This Weather Station is very accurate and displays all the required data. The viewing angles are bad, and the night view is nonexistent (no backlight). I wish these weather station companies would upgrade their LCD displays to something more modern like e-paper displays or anything else than these cheap L CDs. I rated the unit on accuracy since that was the most important thing to me. The installation was straight forward by inserting batteries and putting the outside sensor in the shade. For me, the only improvement would be a trend arrow on the humidity, backlight and a better display.
