Product ID: 615526464
With this shoe, you can rise to everyday challenges. Innovative materials and an accomplished design make this shoe your best friend for all occasions. The sole, with three-dimensional treads, guarantees an excellent grip on all surfaces. The detachable insole, with integrated ACTIVE SUSPENSION Technology, and the SHOCK-ABSORBER, in the outsole, are features which help in equal measure to reduce impact from walking, whilst ensuring a healthy climate inside the shoe. The little bonus? The ALLRO-TEX technology keeps your feet dry - no more sweaty feet! Easy to slip on, thanks to its side zip fastening. The laces, moreover, ensure optimum comfort, allowing the shoe to adapt perfectly to the form of the foot. Review: Mephisto Utano Tex - Love these sneakers, very comfortable & like the color scheme, been wearing Mephisto for decades, very well made but they run about half a size larger than most other brands.

COMFORTABLE, and the zipper allows slip-on/off without messing with the shoelaces.
COMFORTABLE, and the zipper allows slip-on/off without messing with the shoelaces. Great shoes!

Seems well made, but a big flaw
Seems well constructed. I had to replace the insert with a more supportive one. The zipper is simply on the wrong side of the shoe. It’s much easier to completely close it if it were on the inside. It isn’t easy to pull and the placement of the zipper on the shoe’s outside makes it a lot harder.

Failed zip!
Very comfortable, stylish and supportive. My rheumatologist liked them a lot. Because of the recent heat waves I’ve only worn them about half a dozen times so was very disappointed recently that one of the zips failed. Given the time since purchase can’t return them so got a quote from Timpsons for £39 to repair failed zip. Other repairers didn’t want to know. Reluctantly I’ve gone for a repair as they are very good shoes in every other respect and I expect to get good use from them. I wonder if they were seconds or rejects offloaded on Amazon.
