Dark Horse Comics Masters of the Universe: Forge of Destiny

Alliances and deceptions
I wanted to hive this book 3.5 stars, but (possible of my nostalgic bias) it deserved a round up. Great cover art, the interior is not quite as sharp but good. The story is ok it gas a decent thread to the current Revelations series. It lady has the origin of one of the less known characters from my generation of watching the He-man cartoons. I remember seeing the toy of him but not seeing him in the original cartoon series.King Randor is opening a new treaty between him and the people of Gor. The main reason for this is the appearance of He-man and Stellator. Little us known about them by either side and Gor suspects treachery. The trouble is, the agents of treachery have already made inroads into Gor. Will a new war ignite? He-man and Adam also have their one problems as the more trust and respect He-man gains, from the people who matter most to him, the more Adam loses. It is a good prequel story, especially seeing where the characters end up. I would also like to see He-man use more of his fighting skills like he uses in the new series rather that one shot attacks from the original series. I am looking forward to the next comic series. The book finishes with a varient covers gallery, containing full page and thumbnail covers, and a sketchbook.
