Annie Leibovitz : portraits 2005-2016

The book is full of Annie Leibovitz images during the period 2005-2016. This, in itself, is a fantastic thing - everyone knows her images are beautiful and we can all enjoy and learn from her expertise and style.But my overriding disappointment with this book is the layout, with so many images badly spread across the spine - just ruining my enjoyment of the full image. The book is very large so there really is no need to do this with such a high proportion of the images. The book is meant to allow me to view beautifully printed versions of Annie's work but I'm afraid I'm constantly irritated by the restricted view caused by the spine. After all, who would think it's ok to fold photographs?Personally, I would have been happier if all images were shown on single uninterrupted pages, even if this meant either a different size book, smaller images or having to change the orientation as I viewed it.

Annie Leibovitz est une photographe de la trempe des Richard Avedon , jean Loup Sieff et autres grands photographes portraitistes qui ont su imprimer sur des images la personnalité des gens qu'ils ont photographiés dans leur environnement. Un ouvrage magnifique en grand format. Un seul regret au sujet des quelques photos en double page.
