Yes, it's a strong magnet for it's size and my needs. BUT, the problem I have is the fact that it came chipped and marked up like it was used before me. ??? I was considering returning it but the hassle of going to a UPS Store and providing shipping materials made me decide to keep it... begrudgingly. Quality Control people. bought the largest one and a smaller one, it says something like "800 lbs of pull force" but that depends entirely on what the object is. i got it stuck on a metal bridge and that definitely showed its strength since it was hard to get off, but for some other things it barely stayed attached at all even though they were magnetic. would like to see some kind of hook attachment for magnet fishing so you can also pull some nonmagnetic stuff up.

Exactly as advertised and expected. Strong neodymium magnet set into a stainless, coated housing with threaded eye-bolt for attaching a line to. The magnet is strong enough to lift a heavy object but only with optimal flat contact. But for its 2" diameter size (5 mm), it's a powerhouse. I have yet to use it recreationally. I plan on taking it to the beach this summer to make sure the sand where I'll be sitting is clear of fishing hooks, bottle caps, nails, etc.
