Chauvet Colour Wash Fx 2

Time will tell how reliable these are, however I couldn't be happier with the one I picked up. It's amazingly bright, the colours are great and the UV function is handy. It easily lights up a large room (I often have to dim it down, it's that bright).

This light can be super bright and blinding to the eyes. To prevent this you can dim the led brightness I recommend to around 25 no more than 30. Here's how:-Press menu. Toggle thru until see d1m press enter. Use up down buttons to dim or increase brightness. I suggest 25 to 30 max is still bright but comfortable to dancers.* run on programme 22 is nice but your choice. When using the violet uv light on it's own turn brightness really high.

I have 14+ of the original FX washes and they are a great light, or rather would be if I didn't have to spent my life climbing up ladders, dismantling them and replacing defective chips at some very significant time and expense. It seems that they over heat and the chips fail. On advice from Chauvet UK I purchased two of the new FX2 washes a full price to trial - great for a few days, but despite stating a 50,000 hour life expectancy the chips in both of these these started to fail within hours of commissioning and continue to do so despite only 100 hours or so of use! Also concerned at the fire risk given that the heat sinks to the rear of the chips get all but too hot to touch. Now looking to have to spend several £1,000's replacing them all! Oh and Chauvet just aren't really interested!

I used this light to wash a medium sized room. Powerful light. It provided coverage for the vast majority of the room. I plan to purchase another one. Very easy to program:

Beautifully bright fixture. I used to take 4 led pars for a dance floor wash and now I don’t have to! Will be buying at least one more! Such a versatile fixture!

The new Chauvet Wash FX2 is improved and much brighter than the original Wash FX. It is simple to use running stand alone or in DMX mode. I'm using just one to give my stage wall a full wash. It is much brighter than the battery operated wash lights but you lose the freedom of putting it anywhere because you need an outlet. Overall a great product that does what it is supposed to do.
