The media could not be loaded.  I looked at a lot of smart locks, for days, and ultimately decided that this was the right one - why? Because it was the only one I could find that had ALL the features I was most interested in:1) a fairly easy way to use a key if necessary,2) actual buttons (not a touch screen) for the passcodes3) key-card swipe access4) an app to create and change passcodes for different people. (Both permanent and temporary)Overall, I’m a confident lady - however, there’s always a part of my brain that gets panicked when faced with doing something new. This installation involved tech, a new app, setting up the RFID cards, a hardware puzzle, power tools (okay just a power screwdriver - but still!), and FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS- something I classically seem to fail at, in favor of “winging it” half way through a project like this.It seemed overwhelming, but once I got started, I found that they literally could not have made it easier to be successful. I had the thing installed, the app paired, RFID tags working and passcodes created within 30 minutes of starting.10 minutes after that, I was positively giddy, dragging my husband to the door to watch “ALL THE WAYS it can be unlocked!”. I have 3 out of 4 ways shown in the attached video (the 4th way is hitting a button in the app which also worked perfectly).“But that means… in the video, you showed us your passcode…?” You might be saying - don’t worry, I was only using Jenny’s phone number to demo, and changed it after, (which, spoiler alert - is also something that is EXTREMELY easy to do in the app).I love this!

I will never buy another brand of door locks again. GeekSmart is FANTASTIC and very nicely done.

I recently installed this deadbolt because of how much I liked the similar doorknob by Geeksmart. I really like the looks of this. It was really easy to install (though I did loosen and reinstall it because I realized the interior portion was crooked on my first try. Even so, it only took 20 minutes tops). It is easy to lock and has a number of options that I'm still deciding which to implement. It has an "autolock" after a designated amount of time that I use for our doorknob but haven't here since the door is sometimes left open. The default for it was a max of 60 seconds but I realized I could make it a custom time of 400 seconds which is helpful. I was also impressed that it alerts you with a sound if the deadbolt tries to lock but can't extend all the way. The fingerprints are super handy but we did have one incident when my child came home and was locked out because her fingerprint didn't register. I'm hoping these are similar to the iphone where they improve their reading each time it's unlocked with that finger but we're also making sure to have a code that people know so they don't have to rely on the fingerprint. I'll update the score after we've had it longer and know if that was a one-time issue or a frequent occurrence (it would be 5 stars if it hadn't happened).

Easy to install, but the directions for the lock were hard to understand. This is the reason for 4 stars and not 5. Using the keypad was not easy to figure out. But appears to be a great product. Will give updated review after 6 months of use.

I bought this one week ago. It is packed nicely without any damage.It is easy to install with detailed instructions. The lock is good and solid. It looks technical!It works well after the installation. I can use several codes or fingerprint to enter. Also, I can even connect it with an App on my phone to control it remotely.Thanks to this lock, I do not need the keys any more. It is the best lock I have ever had.
