Using this to radio trigger an off camera Nikon SB700 as a fill flash with a Nikon D850. Watched YouTube videos to learn how to program this X1R2.4N and the X1T2.4N so they would “play nice together.” Was able time get this hummingbird eye-to-eye with a gekko by putting the flash outside near the feeder and shooting through my window with a telephoto lens.

I purchased this device as a remote radio trigger, as the nikon SB800 only works on the nikon CLS system and can be limiting in some situations. The TTL feature struggles with getting the exposure right when matched up with the X pro remote for nikon. I have down loaded all firmware updates and still have a problem with TTL feature. When on manual mode, its works great. HSS also works great!

I love these receiver. Excellent solution to control my Nikon Flashes using RF technology. Also, it works great using TTL and HSS functions. I couldn't not control the flashes power manually from the transmitter, but I could control the flashes using the TTL.

The battery cover does not fit properly and falls out of place. I fixed this with a piece of thin card behind the cover to put pressure against it. This should not have been necessary!I can't vouch for the trigger from a technical stance I have not yet used it.
