It was so easy to put this storage chest together. Great quality and it looks great. It is big enough to place blankets and bed sheets for my 6 year old. Very sturdy and closes slowly. My daughter loves it!

Very happy with this purchase! Assembly instructions were clear, and although it took some time and attention to detail it was not difficult. I have no issues with the lid closing like some other reviewers. The lid also stays open at multiple angles which will protect little fingers from getting shut in it. It’s very sturdy and beautiful, well worth the price!!

I measured before buying this, but somehow it still turned out to be quite a bit smaller than I had hoped. I think the fact that 1/4 of the height is actually the "legs" on the bottom is the main reason it seems so small. Assembly is not hard, although I did break a nail and may get some callouses from the screwdriver lol. Initially there is a rather strong odor from the wood and paint (I assume), but this is the day after and I can't really smell a whole lot anymore. It's very sturdy and my kids can sit on top. I (an adult) can stand on it and it doesn't feel like it's going to collapse. Overall a cute toy box, but I do wish it had a better capacity, since there are a lot of toys I still have nowhere to put after buying this ...

I love love love this toy chest! It holds more toys than I thought, was super easy to put together and very sturdy.I did have a problem: a broken piece, likely from tossing on my porch, and a missing piece. Missing piece may have been my fault. I contacted the company, Sauder, and it was so easy to order replacement parts and quick and free! I would order again from Sauder any day!

This was damaged right out of the box, which didnt surprise me since I seen that others who reviewed this had stated theirs was cracked upon arrival. However, it was super easy to assemble, it is very sturdy, the damaged part cannot be seen as it sits against a wall, and it suprisingly holds a bunch of toys. For $50.00 bucks I would definetly purchase again and I would recommend it for sure. I dont thi k it deserves bad reviews. Like I said its $50 bucks not $500!

This chest was relatively easy to assemble in about 30-40 minutes with my 2-year-old "helping". I was able to do it by myself until the very last step, when my husband held the lid for me to put the last screws in more easily. We use it mostly for blankets, and it's small but stores more than I expected. It's sturdy- she can climb up and sit on it with no problem. There is a space between the front and lid so that little fingers don't get smashed, plus the lid has a hinge that keeps it at whatever height you open it to and doesn't close on its own.

I purchased two of these almost one year ago, and have been very pleased with them. They were easy enough to assemble (maybe not for a brand-new beginner, but still easy, and the instructions were amazing) and looked beautiful, like a much more expensive product. They are the perfect height under the windowsills in the playroom and adequately store the kids' costumes and stuffies. The best part was perhaps the soft-close system.However, these have not held up as well as I had hoped. The soft-close hardware on one broke off several months ago. I assumed my three-year-old must have mishandled it, but I watched as the second one came loose and detached last week, and there was no rough play or mishandling. My kids don't sit inside the box or pull from the soft-close mechanism. My husband tried to reinstall the hardware but it split the lid all apart and wouldn't stay in. The back of the box has come almost entirely detached. My two children, ages 3 and 5, DO use these boxes almost every single day. They do put stuffies on top of the boxes and sometimes (rarely) sit on them. They are each about 40lbs. I think with lighter usage, these would probably hold up nicely. These are not ideal for a heavily used play room. I think if we had made it a full year or longer I might rate this as four stars instead of three. It's a great value, honestly, for the price, but I feel like both items have been so thoroughly destroyed in such a relatively (for furniture) short amount of time, I can't give it any higher than three stars.

I actually purchased this to use as a laundry hamper and it is ideal. It has a soft close lid hinge so it won’t slam shut. Easy to assemble alone and there is an easy to follow instructional 10 step booklet included. I’d read other reviews that mentioned the holes didn’t line up correctly but mine matched up perfect. However ignore the instruction that says to skip the drill and use a damn drill! Or it will take you forever to screw 30+ screws and cam bolt screws by hand like it did I lol

A little smaller than I expected but overall great product and very good quality. I use it to store all my miscellaneous items next to my couch. Keeps my TV room clean!
