devoloWiFi 6 Repeater 5400

I use this as a wifi end point for a PC and smart trainer over ethernet in my gym. It was perhaps the easiest to setup wireless repeater I think I've seen yet. No hassle at all and the app is pretty decent too.A few little niggles stop it getting 5 stars from me:It'd be handy to have the ability to turn off it's own WiFi AP and just use it as a high performance WiFi to Ethernet endpoint for multiple wired clients with a single device.it's startup time either when first setting it up or even once setup and just restoring power seems excessively slow (5+ minutes) which is a little bit of a nuisance given I cut all power to my gym when it's not in use.Beyond that, it's on the pricy side for a WiFi AP but it's pretty unique in it's performance, features and ease of use imo.

I ordered this Devolo repeater based on technical reviews, so I thought it would suit my needs.When the device was delivered, I downloaded the Devolo app and plugged the device in. I followed the easy to read instructions in the app step by step, but it would not connect. I tried multiple times.I emailed customer support and waited for their response (this was a weekend and they work Monday to Friday). In their response they asked me to take some different actions, which I did. And after spending further hours on trying to get this to work I finally had it up and running.In full working order it was giving me a download Mbps of 4.99, which was exactly the same as without this device. It couldn't even open up YouTube. It made no difference where in the house I situated the repeater.The WIFI signal is the same with this device as it is without it. It has not improved the signal one iota. I get better signal with a WIFI extender I purchased for £30 a few weeks ago. Absolutely would not recommend this product.

Doesn't plug directly into socket - has a separate lead - which is not shown on product photo's.Couldn't set up with WPS from the router for some reason - had to do it through my laptop.

Product did not meet expectations. If you are techie it should be easy. I did not find the customer service helpful nor did I find the priduct any good.

I ordered this to extend my wifi signal to the garden where it was weaker. However, after 2 hours of trying to connect this amplifier to my wifi I gave up. Very frustrating, it doesn't recognise the wifi password and loading takes forever . Wouldn't recommend
