Well made but truly "iron" sight.
Homemade sight and worked well but was truly a heavy sight. Heavier than I expected. If weight isn't an issue then this is a good choice for the money.

Great for the price
Seems to be well made for the price!

Wiggly
Wobbles quite a bit. 25yds, it is fine. Any further, and it moves too much.

Yea poo'
So loosely made it wiggles. Knobs can touch each other and not move... Thinking of drilling two areas and creating a guide.

Does not hold zero under normal operation
Will not hold zero due to excessive play in post.Although there are spring-loaded balls in all the places that there should be for countering play for this style sight, the hole for the center shaft is way too big, allowing the shaft to back and forth in a way that this style sight should not do. There is no spring and ball incorporated into this design to counter axial play of this type. Also, this lateral movement puts the shaft in a bind so that the lower ball and spring often fails to push the sight to its upward most extreme like it should. In addition to all this, the sight is missing the indexing screw accessible from the top, which this style sight should have. That missing adjuster would have allowed you to index the knob so that it stops at the 6/3 indicator. The hole is there for this, but it does not appear to be threaded and there is no set screw present. In short, if anything presses the top of this sight to either size, it will not reliably return to a neutral position. And if something presses down on it from the top, it may pop back up like it should, or it might bind up and stay down. Between these to issues, you can neither trust the elevation or windage to stay put. The only way to make this sight usable as a sight would be to turn the elevation until it bottoms out hard enough that it would never move again, and not ever use the elevation calculation feature. But that specific feature is the whole point of the bulky design design to begin with. So with that not working, I can not recommend this sight at all except for maybe on a toy gun.

Love the look, unsure on accuracy
I put this on an air rifle that isn't really the most accurate thing in the world. It was more or less an aesthetic I was chasing which ended up not meshing well with my setup. There is no reason this can't go on a modern rifle for maybe co-witness sight or otherwise. It's pretty neat that it mimics the old style of the A2 rifle. Unsure if i'm using that nomenclature correctly but either way, pretty sick. The raising and lowering gear works as you would expect. It screws on quite easily but perhaps use a dab of blue loctite to ensure it stays in place if the desired goal is to mount it on an actual rifle. It's all metal body makes it quite durable for those who put their rifles through hell and back. Would recommend.
