I really put these Tide professional commercial power pods to the test. From the moment I placed the order I knew just what kind of trial I would put them through. My husband's gross looking pillow, and pillowcase... yellow-orange stains and all.  (Seriously, what are husbands even made out of?)I tossed in a pod, tossed in the pillow, and walked away from my washer laughing. No pretreating whatsoever... Good luck, little pod! But it actually did fantastic. Typically, I make a solution out of detergent and scrub at the stains with a brush, let it sit for thirty minutes (ok, more like an hour plus since I forget about it). But in one wash this detergent accomplished about the same result as my normal pre-treat and wash routine! I was really pleased. Was the stain gone? No. But this isn't a quickie "tomato sauce on the chef's coat" situation, we're talking three months of yucky buildup. For my second attempt I went ahead and treated the stain, let sit, and washed with another Tide professional commercial power pod. The stain is ~barely there~. From orangey grossness to all but gone, that's more like it! Having these in my arsenal will encourage more frequent pillow washing, which was formerly my most dreaded task. I look forward to seeing if monthly washes are sufficient so I don't have to pre-treat anymore. What a dream that would be!These pods are scented, and smell slightly different from my normal "original" scent Tide pods. I find the scent to be much less noticeable overall than regular pods, and the times I catch a sniff it is a pleasant scent. I won't hesitate to continue to use them on all of our laundry. From scuzzy towels to nasty pillows, these pods pack a punch. If you are in a situation with regular grease, grime, or goop, I'd definitely recommend you try these out for yourself.

I have a husband, three kids, three cats. And laundry is a huge weekly task of sorting, inspecting, and pre-treating with different sprays--hydrogen peroxide, enzymatic cleanser, dawn to break up tough oily stains, bleach, etc. Then I wash with the regular Tide, Gain, Arm & Hammer I buy from the local bullseye store.I received these PROFESSIONAL Tide Professional Commercial Power PODS to try and wow. They are noticeably better than regular laundry detergent. I tried a week's worth of laundry from clothes, to bed linens, to towels, to household rags and mops. Everything came out really clean, no pre-treating, just one wash. The tougher stains and stains that were previously set are not completely gone so maybe pre-treating won't go away for me entirely (my kids do run around in the yard with socks on and no shoes), but everything looked and felt cleaner in one step compared to regular detergent. There is no residual unfreshness and the lingering detergent scent is nice and light, too.Since I'm a bit OCD when it comes to laundry, I don't think my laundry routine will change drastically. But during those busy weeks when there is not enough time to examine and spray each piece of clothing, I have peace of mind that I can throw everything in, walk away, and come back to clean and super fresh laundry in just one step. If you're a one-step wash-and-go type person in the first place, upgrading to this professional formula will really improve your laundry experience.

I’ve used Tide pods since they came out. I wondered at the “professional” title that was on the label of these. I figured it was just hype and that they would be identical to the rest of the Tide pods but maybe a different color or something. Of course all tide pods are so easy to use, just toss them in. But these are a little bigger and the color is different. I normally use Tide free and clear pods because I don’t really like the smell of most detergents, these don’t have an overwhelming smell and it quite pleasant not to flowery. They are a bit expensive but what you are paying for is the ability to get the smell out of tech fabric work out clothes. I have tried everything and all of my tech fabric work out clothes have that weird smell that never washes out. Well this Tide will wash that yicky smell out and I think that is worth the price. The quality is good, all the pods so far are in good condition.
