An Exciting and Outstanding Collection of Recipes
This is definitely a collection of recipes with a difference! Beautifully presented with lots of lovely pictures of the finished products, it really cannot fail to tempt you into the kitchen. The book is very well organised - Quick and Chic which does exactly what it says, Slow Burners are those which take a little longer to cook and are much more substantial, Showing Off are dishes to impress friends and family, Classic Curries are, well, classic curries, Perfect Partner for excellent accompaniments to your main course and Sweet Like Candy - try Mango Brulee or Poached Pears with Saffron, Cinnamon and Star Anise. Wonderful! All the recipes are well set out with clear and largely easily obtainable ingredients. These are separated into marinades (first and second for some recipes) and the main fish, meat or vegetable. The methods are clear with advice for garnishes. Where some dishes sound a little unlikely such as Baked Eggs on Banana Masala for example, the author offers assurance and encouragement to give it a go.These recipes have something for everyone - chicken, lamb, beef, fish or vegetarian and whilst many are Indian dishes, the influence of French, Persian and even Afghan cuisine is present too in some of the recipes. There is even a section on drinks. The classic drinks are presented with many twists such as Minted Mango, Roast Fig or Strawberry and Cardamon. Get blending!Recipes like Paupiette of Lemon Sole with Saffron Sauce and Fish in Coriander Chutney will definitely persuade me to eat more fish. I cannot overstate what an excellent collection of recipes this is. I was feeling more and more excited as I continued to look through and choose recipes. Give it a whirl!

Ideas for "Curry" fiends and Chilli friends.
Reza also has a digital TV series set in India. The locations are stunning including palaces; all episodes are based on Indian food. This book is outstanding. We have used the recipes many times in recent months and have bought several copies of his book for the family.Exceptional chicken, lamb and veg dishes. Many "Indian" cookery books often specify a few asian obscure ingredients. No longer strictly true because all are imported now and as fresh as air freight allows! All cities have asian food stores now. This book makes a difference in sourcing correct and simpler products, fresh and prepared.e.g. fresh chapatis recipe (not factory wraps)just with flour and water made on a tawa (flat iron pan) which is also very cheap to buy in UK.All ingredients are deliberately chosen because they are easy to buy now.Far better and much cheaper as ever to cook your own than the ready-made convenience chemicals-added factory foods. There are a vast number of UK supermarket and local Asian businesses which can provide the ingredients nowadays.Tip for Basmati rice:Wash your choice of rice in slow running water in a pan.Stir.Pour out constantly excess water not rice which sinks to bottom until water has run clear of most of milky starch.Pour rice into a fine sieve. Wash further and briefly under a tap and drain.Slow boil on simmer setting with an equal measure of water; then leave to steam (with a lid on) until fluffy and delicious.Careful not to boil dry!About 10 minutes.

5 star food, 5 star cook, 5 star book
I have always been a huge fan of Rezza, his enthusiasm is addictive along with his own unique personality. This cookbook follows his television series of which was very informative and captured the spiritual and rich history of India. So much so I've booked to go for 4 weeks this autumn! The recipes in this book are easy to create and don't require a foray into a specialised food shop or suppliers, with many ingredients being readily available in the local supermarket and greengrocer. Each recipe is accompanied by a sumptuous and excellently shot photograph which, in truth dictates which recipe you will choose (I find this is the case when I open the book). To summarise this is an excellent cookbook filled with easy to slightly challenging dishes that will have you pulling for this book rather than a local take-away menu for years to come, a real gem well done Rezza!

A taste of India in your own home
This book is a must for any Indian food fan. The recipes are well written with easy instructions that even those new to the joy of Indan cooking will find easy to follow. Some of the recipes have an extensive list of ingredients but all can be sourced in any large supermarket. I have cooked several of the recipes so far and all have looked like the illustrations and tasted fantastic. Once you have tried the recipes in this book you will throw away your takeaway menu forever!

Not worth it
Lot better books out there. Really just get a book for Indians instead of anglicizing the recipes.
