It's thick, it's got a mind of its own, and most products leave it feeling like I've shellacked a bird's nest to my head. I've tried everything from drugstore goo to fancy salon pastes, and nothing quite hit the mark. Then I stumbled upon this Reuzel concoction. The first thing I noticed was the scent. It's subtle, clean, and doesn't scream "I'm trying too hard." It's more of a sophisticated whisper than a teenage battle cry. The texture is fantastic. Reuzel Liquid Death Pomade has quickly become one of my go-to hair products. I love the product it can be a little hard to blend into hair, at least my hair being that it’s like a paste but once incorporated into the hair, it spreads evenly and provides a super strong hold that lasts all day. The scent is fantastic, I finish it to be fresh, masculine, and not overpowering. However, it can be a little tricky to wash out unless you use shampoo, but that’s a small trade-off for how well it performs. If you’re after a pomade with a strong hold and a great scent, this one is definitely worth trying.

I’ve been looking into this market of men’s hair product for a decade now. My priority is cost, effectiveness, and ease of use/cleaning. This product here not only smells nice (away from the typical vanilla and birthday cake) but it washes out fairly easy. I generally have straight and manageable hair and this stuff works great. One jar would last me a good two months or more with semi-consistent usage.

This is my favorite product of theirs. But like at least one other reviewer mentioned, one container was different. The pomade felt like it had sand in it. White sand. It looked like I had a case of dandruff. And I noticed this container had more of a screw lid than every other shipment I have had.

I'm sorry but I have to leave a review. I ordered this for the first time, and upon opening it there appeared to be little beads on the surface. I didn't think much of it at first, and tried to simply scrape off a thin layer off the top to remove the beads. Then, I dug my finger in to grab some product and use it, and it turns out the beads are throughout the ENTIRE CAN of pomade. They do not dissolve when rubbed into your hands, and they resemble exfoliating beads that leave behind a SEVERE dandruff appearance in your hair. Great hold, great smell, but the beads are a total deal breaker due to how embarrassing the beads look in your hair. I returned it, and got a replacement order thinking it might just be a one-off defective batch. NOPE! The new can arrived with the exact same beads on the surface, so I won't even bother trying it this time. After this incident, I went back to the product page to comb reviews to see if it was just me. However dozens of customers including the AI overview of reviews also mentions beads in the product, which should be a massive red flag and alert Reuzel of a major quality problem they need to address asap. Hopefully this improves, because it has great hold, leaves a nice texture in your hair (if it didn't have beads), and smells nice. But it simply isn't worth the pros with such a massive con of looking like a dandruff snowstorm just hit your head.

I have purchased the matte a few times however one of the last ones was not defective. The pomade wasn's smooth the way it is supposed to be. Instead, there were tiny balls of pomade that remained in my hair giving the impression of dandruff. I hope this was a one off

I have used numerous pomades, gels, mousses, sprays and spritzes over the years, but this one is the BEST I have found. Applies easily, lasts all day, even in the outdoors. Do yourself a favor, buy this one, and pitch the rest in the trash.
