More than a toy
I am a diecast vehicle collector, particularly ones in 1:32 size; I have so many at home that I built special shelves for displaying them. Last year, I got a diecast toy vehicle from the same brand, and it was a black Challenger that I really liked, so when I saw this one from the same brand, I immediately ordered it.This one is quite well-made and contains the majority of the features that I love, such as the ability to open the doors, hood, and trunk, as well as push back and play sounds and lights. This toy car is made of high-quality metal, with an outstanding paint job and beautiful interior and exterior details. When I received this toy car, the hood was open but not damaged or malfunctioning. Small screws are used to secure the toy car to a plastic base for display purposes. Because the windows are up, opening the front doors is difficult, so I use the side mirrors to do so, hoping not to break the mirror. Pressing the hood triggers the engine sound, while opening the door triggers the alarm sound.I'd like to make a point, but I may be mistaken. This diecast toy car is for a Toyota Crown and has the Crown emblem, but as far as I know, the Toyota Crown is a sedan, not an SUV, so I believe this toy car looks just like a Toyota Highlander XSE.

Good detail. Too nice for three-year olds.
I have several cars very similar to this. All are 1/32 scale and most feature doors that can be opened, lights, sounds, and pull-back action. The sounds include horn, door alarms, and engine sounds. With this Toyota Crown, if you just pull it back and release, it goes without sounds or lights, but if you push in down slightly while pulling back, it runs with engine sounds, headlights and taillights, then squealing tires. The interior is mostly black, but well-detailed. The side mirrors have no mirror surface. The windows are up, whereas in other models, they're down. The passenger doors are not easy to open. The hood is easily opened if a little button under the front bumper is pushed. There are a few errors in the description. You press down on the front of the car for engine sounds, and not the back. Pressing the steering wheel does nothing. Opening the front doors set off security alarms. The wheels cannot be turned for steering. Other than the usual over-hyped description, it's a sturdy little car (it weighs more than 8 ounces) with a lot of play appeal.

Toy model car
This 1:32 model car looked nice, like it could be both a toy or collectible. The doors, hood, and trunk opened. The sound effects were pretty loud, and the headlights and taillights were bright. The overall quality of this toy car was decent, and there was enough detail.

Great Toy car, with many "real" features
Got this toy for my nephew who is 6. I think he's starting to prefer toys that have more "functions" to them, so his toy is great for him, as the doors, hood, and trunk all open. I feel like any "car" is a great gift idea of young boys, but this one is great, as his parents drive an SUV, so he feels like this car is a model of his parents.

Great model car; bad instructions
Great model car. Good diecast metal; excellent addition to any model car collection. Comes attached to a nifty car model base which will make the auto look sharp on any shelf... however it took me far to long to detach the car from the base, as the directions do not reveal that there are 4 [Philips head] screws that need to be unscrewed to remove the model from its platform. The screws are deep recessed in the bottom of the platform, a small head Philips is needed to unscrew the base. You really cannot see the glint of the screws until you shine a light into the holes. So, an adult should be present if gifting this to a child, because like I did, the child will try to remove the car from the base by tugging on the car...with no results. Once I removed the car from the base, & the slim white battery protector cardboard from the battery compartment, the auto was good to go. The doors &hood can be opened, the lights flash, & the auto emits a siren-type sound nicely. The pullback strength is amazing, so be careful, or the model will run itself into any object in its path. Beautiful model; poor instructions.
