Great LED Mist Fountain/Fogger!
I bought this as a replacement to my old fogger that wore out from use. This was easy to install in my old fountain fogger and slipped through the hole that was in the bottom without issue. The seals that come with this work perfectly - there were no leaks or problems. The 'misting' function and water fountain were perfect--lots of mist and the fountain for this model is designed to either work with a 'cap' to keep the water from the fountain from splashing too much and is part of the design. Here is an example: https://www.amazon.com/Canary-Fountain-Diffuser-Inline-Control/dp/B00A2BSLB2/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1483912196&sr=8-2&keywords=misting+fountain If you don't have a cap, you can order the parts (including the 'stand' to support the cap), or plan to use this in a deeper 'bowl' to keep the splashing contained. The LED display is beautiful and you get a random display of the colors through the mist. This works to best effect in a shallow transparent/translucent glass or plastic so that you get the best effect. The lights are extreme, so look best in lower lighting, or a darker corner. The price for this was the best I found. The look and function are pretty much just like my old unit that this replace. I'm thrilled that I get to keep enjoying the befountain I originally had, and I'd buy this fogger again. Also, the link I included in this review is pretty much like the fountain I have, except mine is a translucent white, and not blue--so this multi-color LED looks great with my white fountain bowl.

did exactly what I wanted
Absolutely adored this for halloween. Had it in a cauldron and it worked great. Gotta watch the water level if it rains though!!

Not bad "spooky themed parties" -- just be sure to buy the splash guard
II bought this for a Harry Potter party to use for effect on our 'potions class' table. It is AWESOME, but you HAVE to buy the splash guard. I can't believe I missed that when I bought this one. If you don't have the splash guard, the water will spray everywhere. Here's what I learned: PROS: it works perfectly for a small table top foggy cauldron effect without any chemicals or having too much foggy mist getting in your way. The lights are an awesome addition. It is easy to set up and works immediately after turning it on. You don't have to tend to it too much (unlike dry ice which takes way more time and is a massive pain compared to how easy this is). You MUST buy the splash guard! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XDMLKQV/ref=sspa_dk_detail_1?psc=1&pd_rd_i=B06XDMLKQV&pd_rd_wg=qd9Nu&pd_rd_r=PYVGV5BFHBSWDQ1ENN21&pd_rd_w=LOkrO CONS: Without the splash guard, the water will spray WAY too much. I am embarrassed to admit I didn't even see/or register this option when I bought the mister. You cannot use this mister in a very large cauldron as the mist won't have the same "flowing over the top" effect you get with a smaller cauldron. However, because of the spray, we had to use a massive cauldron we bought for housing the potions ingredients. We had to prop up a smaller bowl inside the cauldron and with enough height to allow for the "flowing over the top" effect and it was a pain to rig this all up. The water sprays out enough to be problematic for indoor use unless it is in a sink IMO. Also, I think I had seen reviews which said it had stopped working and/or didn't last long. For $11 or so, it lasted our whole party and still works.

Great smoke effect
I got three of these for my cauldron for my trunk at trunk or treat this year. I was doing a witchy theme and wanted a smoking cauldron. At first we were gonna do dry ice but we were worried it would be too labor intensive so I was looking for an alternative. We ended up getting these and loved how they looked. We put a bowl in the cauldron so to make sure the misters weren’t in deep water and with the wind they were so cool. I personally loved how they rotated colors but just know you can’t choose the colors if that’s what you want. They were a little messy and splashy. The bottom of my trunk ended up really wet and all the stuff around the cauldron got wet. But I didn’t mind. This smoke effect was with two misters. We bought these but only really needed the two.

Dont expect too much at this price does work as intended but life on these is short
What I have learned is for the price it's a ok mister but only changes 4 different colors and makes a decent amount of mist but compared to the silver one I had before it doubled the amount of mist. This one looks and feels pretty cheap and I'll be surprised if it lasts longer than 3 months. You get what you pay for and the more expensive ones definitely perform better and last longer.

Plug is too big!!
I bought this mist maker for a tabletop fountain. The wire plug was way too big for the hole in the fountain, so I stupidly tried to pare it down and the rubber plug split. I bought a cheaper one and the plug fit perfectly. It may be well made, but the rubber plug doesn't fit!! Don't waste your money!!

Great inexpensive special effect for Halloween!
I love this little mister! We just set it up for its 2nd Halloween, so we've been using it sporadically for a year. Since we only use it for maybe 5 or 6 hours each time and check it fairly frequently, I've not had opportunity to see it shut off automatically when the water runs out. It states on the box that it does though, so it has a fail-safe if left unsupervised too long. It is very easy to use. We put it in a deeper serving bowl with a smallish diameter, cover with water and then place the bowl on a block (so it's nearly level with the cauldron rim) in our cauldron, which is then set in a dark corner of the porch. Then all you do is plug it in and it does its thing. We get a decent amount of mist; not like a Halloween movie effect, but definitely enough to make a statement, especially when the changing lights draw your attention to it. There is quite a bit of spatter, so the interior of my cauldron needs to be wiped dry at the end of the night. The directions also advise not to have it running for more than 10 hours at a time, so I'm thinking it wouldn't hold up to round the clock use. For our purposes of a creating a holiday display a few times a year, it's ideal.

This little gadget totally blew my mind. I had no idea anything like this existed until it came up on recommended products. No mess, no fuss, no heat. Totally safe to use. Popped it into a large plastic cauldron and instant safe smoke. It does spit a little bit but it's only water and it's not hot. The effect is utterly amazing and totally worth it.

After much research and reading reviews on how to create a smoking cauldron without using dry ice, I took a chance and ordered this particular mist machine.....and it did not disapoint! I set up my cauldron on a wreath of twigs and orange tissue paper with LED tea lights under it to give the impression of a fire smouldering. Then I placed my plastic cauldron onto it and fitted the mist machine inside. I used tape to secure the wire as best as I could to the side of the cauldron to try and conseal it. Then I followed the instructions provided and filled the cauldron with water approximately 5cm deep. Once happy with placement and water level I switched it on and straight away it started working ! Fine mist was produced and the lights began changing colour. I didn't think it would look very effective in daylight but it really did ! (see the images attached!) and at night....it looked even better!! It was brilliant for my halloween table centre piece! The only downside was the water spitting, there was no cover to prevent the water from going outside the cauldron on the mist maker, so the table did get very wet by the end of the night! ( You can see in the daytime images the water gathering on the cauldron handle/table) I am going to try and make a clip on cover for it this year, but do bear this in mind ! Apart from that my guests were very impressed and it looked really effective!

Used in a cauldron for a halloween decoration and it works a treat and really looks the part. I did purchase the splash guard to make the mist look less disturbed by the plashing but that's personal choice. The video attached is straight out the box into a the cauldron with water, I put my hand in to simulate the effect of the splash guard and how the mist will look.
