Surprising, actually. Look, it is an El Cheapo boombox. It won't take you back like it's 1984, but for what it is, I like it. It has an AC plug for 120 VAC power, a DC 9V connection that can be used with a external DC battery pack/solar panel, a slot for 4 'D' size batteries, and two slots for protected 18650 cells (that charge from AC) but are not included. The tape, USB/microSD and Bluetooth are all stereo, AM/FM/SW1+2 are mono. Has an earphone jack that is also stereo sans the radio. There are hisses and hums, so don't expect studio quality, and though tape playback will auto stop, FF/Rew will not. What is surprising is the Short Wave receiver. At night, in the outdoor hot tub, I scan the bands (by rotating the tuning knob) and listening for occupied frequencies. Some pull in strong and others not so much. I have listened for hours to some pretty whack conspiracy theories while soaking in the warm water. I have other radios with scanning and memory recall, but the manual tuning gives a sense of nostalgia. The sound is pretty good with bass and treble controls. Headphones work best. 18650 batteries last a long time at medium volume. There are no lights (except for the Bluetooth LED), so you don't know if the frequency is tuned or if the batteries are low. The price is on par with what you get. It is better than meh. And for me, if it gets dunked in the pool, I won't shed that much of a tear. I would, however, buy another.

Sounds really good. My husband wanted an old fashion radio for his shop. He really likes it. Made well, gets good clear reception. Excellant choice, price was great.

This little retro cassette player is so adorable! I needed something to play some old recordings I had on cassette tape (soley for nostalgia reasons) and this player was perfect. The sound quality wasn't over-the-top great, but it was good enough for what I wanted it to do, especially at this price point. It's lightweight and user friendly and took me back to my childhood days.

I bought this for my son who has a huge cassette tape collection. This radio checks all the boxes. The tuner works great, very sensitive selector so you can really fine tune your station. The sound is actually really good. Very happy with this purchase.

It's pretty. Left speaker didn't work. And the volume...it was stuck on 3/4. It wouldn't go down. Zero quality control. Been having lots of quality issues with purchases lately. Might start going to stores again. Next day update: So, I simply chose to have amazon send me another one. When I hit this option, it said that my new item would be shipped the next day. I returned the original item within 2 hours of getting the defective one with a copy sent to my email. Today, I have a red notice that says approval is needed by me. There was a approval box to click on. And it said that there is no delivery date set at this time. And one will be sent to me. Yeah...this all just got way to complicated to have a new workable item sent to me. So, I cancelled the order entirely and I'll go to Menards and spend ten dollars more and be done with it. I'm not going thru all these hoops for a defective item. I still love amazon, but theyve lost my sale for a first time by being to complex. I dont understand what they are doing and Ive never had this problem before. Maybe they dont believe the orignal item was truly defective. If so, they will have the item very soon and can verify the issue. But, first sale ever lost to amazon by me. I gave up. Better luck next time I'm sure.

This is great, I like being able to made tapes from my digital mp3 and wav files yes it works with Wav files which isn’t mentioned so five stars for me and it is great and feels great good design for the price it is doing amazing things for me. It has old style knobs for volume and radio you can play directly from the usb I will say make sure the files are organized well because there is no display for the song or files it will just play down the line of your digital music so make sure you make them alpha or numerical the names, but that is my main use since I make songs with Ai I wanted to make tape cassettes of my music not the easiest but for this price well worth it. It plays the tapes great some audio loss but I think that is just how tapes are been years since I played music with them so I am happy. It does play old tapes well.

I bought this as a gift for someone and they love it, sound quality is good and it works great. Quite heavy, though, but that seems to make it fairly durable, it's been dropped twice that I know of and it's still going strong.

Excelente calidad, se siente muy bien construida y el sonido es acorde a la fuente usada. El radio se escucha muy fuerte, el Bluetooth se escucha bien, pero no tanto, los cassettes se escuchan fuerte pero depende de la calidad de la cinta y el USB igual, depende de la calidad del archivo de audio. Muy contento y satisfecho con esta compra, está muy bien construida y el color es muy bello y elegante
