Comunite Gun Light

Does not last long. At all.
Purchased this for my PT1911 Taurus .45.Bought batteries too. it was FANTASTIC at first. Bright light, snug to the rails, even added a certain aesthetic to the 1911.a few nights later, i take it out to show off, press the button, it practically blinked. i thought huh, maybe the battery moved. tried again, even faster blink. so i changed the battery. everything was fine once again. again, few more days later, nothing. a quick blink. what are the odds of 2 batteries being duds? i try the final battery. check and see how long the light would stay on VS after a few days. First day, stayed on no problem. 2nd, maybe 30 secs. 4th day. 1 sec.It dawned on me the battery is draining while not in use. Me personally, that's a dealbreaker on a flashlight. It'd be a fantastic product without the drain. but until that's rectified, i cannot recommend this product. In short. light drains batteries. Would look elsewhere.

Very well made high quality flashlight
I've wanted a mounted light since buying my SigPro twenty years ago, but never bought one because they were $350 back then and remain near $200. Fast forward to the present and you have this inexpensive yet incredibly tough flashlight. It uses a flat bar/spring combination to secure in place on the picatinny rail, clicking solidly in place. Finish is a smooth matte black. Rubber coated buttons are side mounted enabling single hand operation. The batteries can be had at a less expensive price than past years, at $25 per 20 batteries.I decided to buy rechargeable batts for it due to the advancements made in battery technology.Overall I very pleased with this tiny little light. As a retired cop I have tons of flashlight drivel rolling through my mind, however it's not all simply trivia; this one is a steal at the price it sells for today.

BUYER BEWARE
Bought this light and after the first week it started doing something strange. When the light was pointed down then it would turn off after about 5 seconds. When pointed up it stays on. Not too long after, it made a small pop and stopped working all together. I notified Amazon and they sent me a replacement the next day. I took the replacement out of the box, put in the battery and..... nothing. I assumed that the last one being defective probably drained the battery so I paid $10 for ANOTHER CR2 battery and guess what... still no light. Replacement defective right out of the box. I give up. The odds of getting 2 defective lights back to back should be astronomical. I’m convinced that this product is trash. Spend a little more and get better quality minus the headache. On the up note, its a really bright light and easy to install. Another down note is that when its attached to they picatinny rail, it seems a little loose.DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY....

Inoperable 2nd use
The product itself appears to be built really well with easy install but may be a loose and jiggle a little on some rails. As for the reliability. The light worked the time I installed it, 2nd attempt it no longer worked. I changed the battery for good measure to make sure that was not the issue. I hit the button and it will only flash once and then nothing. I wouldn't recommend this purchase as it is now a $20 piece of junk.

Excellent small light!
Wire has simple, durable touch (on/off) buttons on both sides. Very bright - will illuminate a whole room in low light and darkness. Great for CQB, room clearing, general close range scanning. Installed on side picatinny rail of AR. Fully illuminates the field of fire and makes for easy scanning and acquisition in darkness with iron sights. Highly effective light within 25-50 meters. Does the job of lights 3x the cost. Slides off easily with spring-loaded lever. Small enough to also fit on handguns with picatinny rail - will fit rail-equipped compact handgun or larger.

When they work, they are great
I have two of these on two platforms: 9mm pistol and AR-15 pistol. They handle recoil really well, but they have an issue even when sitting idle. Periodically they go into a state where they only flash the light when you engage the ON button--the remedy is to take the battery out, put it back, and close the compartment. I am still giving 3 stars as when they work, they are great/bright. However, I would NOT recommend to put these on a weapon that you use for self-defense, as Mr. Murphy dictates "what can go wrong, will go wrong" and you'll get brief flash when you need continuous illumination of a hostile target. Not good.

Not working out.
Well, just like several of the other negative reviews, my review is identical. This light worked well at first on my Glock 22. Fits snugly to the rails. Problem came about a couple weeks later after only a handful of uses. Went to push the button for light and it just flashed real quick. Kept doing it. After taking the battery out and reinstalling it stayed on for about 10 seconds and went out. Seems to be the same result with a fresh battery. Guess you do get what you pay for. I think I’ve had it too long now to return it.

You get what you pay for
Wasnt much money, but wasnt worth it either. It fits rail systems but is loose. Tried several different rails and it is simply not very well made. I reccommend finding something else.
