Brother SM3701 37-Stitch Free Arm Sewing Machine and 5300A Hardcase for Carrying and Storage

The one thing I’d improve is the little organizer section, everything will spill out each time you need to remove this piece to fill or replace the bobbin. Otherwise, it’s easy to thread, the design is cute. Standard size.

Perfect especially with the carrying case. Sturdy. Has quite a few auto stitches. Easy to use and easy to move about. It’s bright Enjoyable to see. Not loud. Doesn’t jam.

I learned to sew in Home EC Many years ago. After my daughter was born, I took up sewing and I made her dresses and a lot of her toys over the years with work and raising a family. I really only did repairs on a Singer showing machine that after I guess 35 years I couldn’t even find somebody that wanted to fix it. I was very disappointed, but I had gone ahead and bought machine for my daughter who has two young daughters and I always show them how to sew things when I go visit. So I had seen that this product was good. I went online and found this one that had exactly the features I wanted plus, I didn’t want it sitting without a cover, so I did go ahead and buy the cover one because I just didn’t want it getting dust in the engine. I thought potentially that was one of the reasons my other one went. It was a stand on top of the table type, and I never had a cover for it. I love the fact that it’s new the tension is perfect. It’s easy to adjust. It responds quickly. I like it and I only so maybe repairs and maybe I’ll make a quilt to a blanket curtains things like that I’m not as much of a so as I used to be, but for every day repairs And some special projects, I don’t think you’ll find a better product

This looks like a nice sewing machine but the case provided is huge and is not going to hold the sewing machine very securely. I recommend keeping the styrofoam it’s packed in and using it if/when you store it in the case.

I purchased this Brother model after much research for our neighbor/friend as a gift. She is 14 and learning to sew. She absolutely loves the machine, is loving all the different options it has and says it’s easy to use. I liked that it was durable and has a storage case. The price was good and the reviews were consistently positive.

Works great for beginners. Had some Trouble with hem on heavy jeans , broke needles

Piece of Junk! Spend the extra money and buy a singer! I have been sewing with a singer for 55 years; no problem! I bought this and have wasted almost a whole spool of thread trying to get the bobbin to work right. I adjusted the tension and I tried a different bobbin (per the books instruction) but it still keeps clumping up. I should have tried it as soon as I received it b/c now it is out of the return window and their website is shut down!!!

What can I say? I love this machine. I have a couple of machines with all the bells and whistles, but this machine is my favorite out of all the 8 machines I have and the 2 old ones I gave away years ago. The sm 3701 lets me do what I want most and that is sew, I don't have to go through a bunch of setting just to find out that stitch isn't the one I am looking for. I like that it is so simple and reminds me of the old days when I use to sew for hours at a time. The sm 3701 has beautiful stitches and it is light weight, I can sew just about anywhere, even outside. I love that the sm 3701 is easy to thread like my other machines and has enough stitch setting to keep me happy. I have my sew-jo back!
