Lovely book, colour photos throughout. A concise section on mosaic history preceeds a reasonably extensive section on materials, tools, laying techniques, fixing and finishing etc at the front of the book followed by a variety of projects mostly suitable for intermediate level and above, or ambitious beginners with some craft skills, Classically inspired designs for indoors and outdoors: suitable for walls, floors, columns, sconces, mirrors, fireplaces, a ceiling and furniture that would also look well in a modern surrounding, not dry museum pieces. I have a lot of mosaic books and this one is a bit more unique than most. Well worth getting - I'm very pleased with it.

I have been trying to find a mosaic book that has three-dimensional designs and this comes as close as I have found. It has beautiful ideas and it not craftsy as some mosaic books are. The designs are more art than crafts.

This is an excellent book and really inspirational. The photos are clear with a range of mosaic projects. It is for the slightly more advanced.

Great gift for an artist.
