I LOVE this shelf
This is a GREAT solution for apartment living, since it creates a lot of vertical space without drilling any holes. I got this to use as a plant stand, but also as a window jungle gym for my cats, and it works perfectly! I needed a way to keep plants in the window but still allow my cats space to sit and watch outside-- because they'll make space for themselves if it isn't there. I'd lost so many plants to my cats knocking them off of window sills or trying to play with them or chew on them. And this shelf TOTALLY saved the day. The top shelf is wide enough to hold tons of plants, and it's high enough that it's inaccessible to my cats, so plants can escape their pawing and chewing. So much more affordable than cat shelves--and much easier than mounting them. Also, there's always two dismount routes from any shelf, so no one ever feels cornered. They're super sturdy, so heavy plants haven't caused any problems. The shelf's center of gravity is pretty high with how i have it set up, since all the weight from the plants is up top. But my cats play on it like crazy, and it's never fallen over, broken, or gotten weak at connection points. The shelf sizes also accommodate pet pillows nicely. And the rungs are great for hanging toys from for cats to play with from below. I did tighten the screws with my own allen wrench, which i would definitely recommend, regardless of how the shelf is being used. The dinky key that comes with the shelf doesn't do a great job, and the structure wasn't super sturdy without a second pass with a better tool. But if the screws are tightened well, it's amazingly durable. I would beware of mildewing, though, if you expose the shelves to water. I had a cactus on the shelves without a saucer, and the sealant beneath gave way and the slats mildewed rather quickly. The wood didn't warp at all, though, which speaks to the shelves' quality. After cleaning the spot with bleach and placing saucers under all of my plants, I've had no issue with mold or mildew growth.

Pleasantly Surprised!
I absolutely love this plant stand. The color, height, space, everything. It was incredibly easy to put together despite it looking complicated in the final constructed pictures. This plant stand holds massive amounts of weight too. I have numerous plants and a huge philodendron at the top as you can see and that puppy isn’t exactly light. I was hesitant to put it up there at first but the plant stand doesn’t even wabble even when I tried to see if it would tip. I’ve placed grow lights on the bottoms of some of the shelves and even have a humidifier at the top! This plant stand makes the perfect haven for my plant babies, and allows me to compact most of my plants in one space. If I can find room in my house I just might buy another!

Easy to assemble, attractive
I purchased two of these stands to create a plant wall in my family room. They are exactly what I had in mind. I had them both assembled in a bit over an hour with only the tool provided. They are sturdy enough to hold several plants, as you can see. I would definitely anchor them to a wall if you have a toddler or a cat that likes to climb. I love that there are places for larger plants besides the top shelf. Where mine is tucked behind my sofa, I can use the bottom shelves for propagation, seed starting and a place to put my humidifiers. I’d definitely recommend this product.

a few minor problems + wobbly
Nice looking & relatively easy to assemble (everything lines up), but you'll need 2 people early on to stabilize the uprights or they might snap off (since they'll hang in mid air until the bottom shelf & the next one up are secured - assemble unit laying on its side). Completed unit is very wobbly, but I corrected it w/7 glued on pennies. Minor cosmetic imperfections (a couple of slivers pealing off upright edges; a few minor scratches; 3 slats loose, so I had to wood glue/clamp them). Unfortunately, no hardware enclosed to cover up holes in the uprights where no shelves are attached - would've been nice to have some matching wood plugs for the holes, or even brass heads to glue in to match the bolts holding the shelves in place. Be very careful cutting open the box because there are shelves just below the tape cut line with no protection. Came w/2 extra bolts & 1 extra flange serrated nut (great choice for grabbing the wood when tightening). And forget the enclosed allen wrench - there are 36 bolts to tighten, so use a 5/32" 6-sided driving bit in a drill. I'd also suggest attaching each end to ceiling hooks so it doesn't tip over, especially if there are heavy plants across the top shelf.

Fast assembly for good looking!
This took me 35 minutes to put together alone and I got distracted by the cat, dog and child during. As a solo parent to all three, I was happy to have one page of easy instructions and three types of parts with one tool that is included. Seems stable and looks nice. A child could assemble it.I will be putting it on my balcony during summer for my plants, so I’m interested to see how it holds up in the weather. At this time I have no complaints. We will see how it does over the summer functionally. It has quite a bit of epoxy shine on it but some how I managed to get a bamboo sliver. I do prefer the natural look but I don’t know that much about bamboo, so may it needs a thick top coat (I don’t know what else to call it). It still looks really good and actually smells decent. Maybe they used beeswax? It will likely wear off from the weather, so I guess it’s good. This arrived around 7 days after I ordered it. Which is about average during the COVID19 pandemic. I prefer my delivery drivers to be safe, healthy and well rested. Therefore, I’m managing expectations and delays are a new part of life please don’t push the drivers and please pay them really well and take care of them. The seller reached out and communicated with me about the small delay. That was nice.

Ideal for my needs
I had high hopes for this plant stand and I’m not disappointed. It was nicely packaged and survived the very long journey (long in distance and time) from the east coast to the west coast via FedEx truck. The design is quite simple and easy to put together, the instructions are clear. At ages 77 it probably took me longer than most to assemble it but only because there was no reason for me to hurry. It’s also sturdy and nicely finished. I’m pleased with this purchase.

Lightweight and easy to install
A nice and lightweight shelving unit! I just hope they ditch their petroleum plastic inner packaging and replacing it with biodegradable material.
