As many of us know, all Nikon binocular rain caps are crap and fall right off. This is by design. I know this now because I have both the Monarch 5 12x42 and the Monarch 7 8x42. The 7 has a much larger front eye piece diameter and it turns out the rain cap from the 5 12x42 fits better and more snugly on the 7 8x42.The product shown here fits likewise snugly well on the Monarch 5 12x42 but it is too small on the Monarch 7 8x42. It will still work if you carefully align the lip and use a fit of force. If you have been following me so far, that means that I only needed to buy 1 of this product to swap all my rain caps to different binoculars and toss the oversized rain cap that comes with the Nikon Monarch 5 8x42.

These are decent quality. I took a chance and purchased them for my Steiner's. They dont fit. They don't fit my Bushnell either. Too small. Keeping them anyway. Maybe I'll shape them with the heat gun.

First off, the good. They’re well made, a thick rubbery plastic that’s pliable and will stretch and should stay on well for binoculars that they fit.The bad news is, they’re just a little too small for my Nikon Aculon 8x42 binoculars. So don’t bother if you have these.But if they fit your model, they’re really nice and I would recommend them.

This guard keeps me from sneezing all over the eyepieces of my vintage 10x50 Porro binos. They fit pretty well (a tad loose for my application, but close enough) and do the job. I used a zip tie to fasten them to a strap lug so they don't get lost.

The OEM occular lens cover broke on my Nikon Monarch 10x42 binoculars, and these are an even better fit than the originals, which were always a bit loose. Very pleased.

I lost the eye covers for my binos on a trip... and these fit just perfectly. Good replacement, good value. Note I did measure the eye pieces on my binos just to make sure these would fit before purchase.

Get these. You won't be disappointed. Huge improvement over what comes with the binocs

This was just what I was looking for to replace the caps that came with my binoculars.

This is such a wonderful product. I have a Nikon Monarch 5 Binocular 8 X 42 and I lost my eye caps during a birding trip. I got this one as a replacement and this is in fact much better than the original Nikon one. I am very happy. The price could be slightly lower though but no complaints. Would recommend to all Birders and other binocular users.

Lost eyecaps for my Celestron 10x32. These are a perfect fit and durable. Perfect replacement.
