Plessy: A shoemaker makes his mark (Legal Kid's Court Cases Collection) Paperback – December 13, 2016

So I ordered this book (Pledsy) for my 10-year-old but it came in the mail today and my 4 year old saw it And opened it and she was like, (mommy is this book for me?) I told her it was for her sister, but she didn't get it. So she asked if I could read it, I was like OK I will read you a page. so I read her a page and she love It. I continue reading and I got to the fourth page and she was just amazed and was asking me so much questions about Her skin my skin and her dad skin and why things were the way that they were my daughter is only 4 years old. I'm so happy about this book and can't wait for the next

Always on the look for a quality present for kids that makes them develop their knowledge and creation I came across this gem of a book.Plessy is not only original in its contents is based in true cases that have happened in the Supreme Court. I find this fascinating.Plessy shows that nothing is impossible even if it looks overwhelming. This is a wonderful message to the pure hearts and minds of children.After all they are our National Treasure to keep an eye on and leave them with a better world.Highly recommend it. Congratulations to the author!.

I am please to say this is book is a great read for children and the illustrations are so enticing as well as captivating. The way the book is written makes it easy for a child or any adult to understand the law. My son loves this book. I am looking forward to reading the next book by Professor Ally. Thank you for writing a book which captivated my son from the very beginning and has him as well as my self looking forward to the next book.

Great read! Plessy is a well thought out story derived from the Plessy vs. Ferguson Case of 1892, written for kids to understand. Not only does it teach children about law, but it also gives them the confidence to know that no matter who you are, you can make a difference. I love the "legal kid" concept and I am looking forward to the next case in the "legal kid" collection by Allison B. Matulli.

I bought this book for my 14 year old daughter. She really liked reading it. Hopefully there will more of these cases made into more kid's books. Great way for kids to learn about law cases that shaped our past.

I highly encourage all educators out there to buy this book! It was an amazing experience for the children in my class to learn about this initial supreme court ruling in our nation's history.I love how it is broken down to a level for third graders to understand the meaning behind the text.Enjoy!!!!!!!!!

Plessy explores a hero in American history who I have never heard of before. Let me start with the illustrations. My kids were held hostage by the vibrant colors and loved how Plessy's actions were so easy to understand in the lovely images. The words transported us to the 1890s and we (the kids and myself) walked in Plessy's shiny shoes. I can't believe Professor Ally makes understanding a Supreme Court case so easily. We are excited to read the next case which we hope will follow very soon.
